Author has written 5 stories for Lord of the Rings, X-Men: The Movie, and X-Men: Evolution. Let's see. My name is Deke, or deke-core. I'm 21 years old, I just started going to beauty school in May of 2003 (I am so excited about doing this!!!!!!!!!!!), and I just got engaged to my boyfriend who I've been going out with for 3 years. I love my little Dreggers!!I'm vegetarian (go animals!). I'm straight edge, which means that I don't use any drugs at all, so my addiction is music. I listen to a lot of straight edge hardcore (such as Chain of Strength, Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today) and stuff like that. Recent hardcore ain't too bad either like Deadtofall, Powerhouse, Throwdown, Nora - much more metal. Don't be mad, but I'm also highly addicted to Shelter. But I listen to a wide range of music - including reggae/ska (anything on Trojan Records is worth listening to), oi (like Oxymoron, stadge bottles, business, ect.). I'm also really addicted to Chumbawumba - not the recent stuff on the radio but their earlier 1980s stuff. Oh, dancing to the revo beat! Uh... I'm also absolutely addicting to knitting. Honestly, I knit so much stuff that I've run out of people to give things too. Right now, I'm making a marroon, pink and cream stripe colored purse with plaid fabric and zippers and pockets on the back - yeah, that ain't exactly posi-core, but it's still d.i.y. I read a whole lot more than I watch movies. I really really like LOTR. Can you tell? I think what I like most about the story is that all the characters are very well developed, and even if the writing is very subtle, you can sense a great power behind all the motives of each character. Wonderful! I've really tried to incorporate factors of that writing style into my own - not the stuff on ff.net, but my own stories... I don't watch a whole lot of movies, but those that I enjoy the most are movies that seem to encourage the audience to create their own characters. How can you say differently of X-men???? I also have a broad range of interests as in reading. I'm not really too big on fiction, but rather, I read about evolutionary theory, early 60s space exploration, and 80s hardcore. and I just came up with my own personal catch phrase, if I was some sort of straight edge super hero : "Making the world a much more positive place to be positive in." Okay - I've got to recommend some stories for ya all to read, which can be conviently located in the favorite stories section. Absolutely anything written by Snitter In Rivendell is completely astonding - not only do those stories rock, snitter's my twin!!!!!!!!! Well, that's me in a nut shell, catch me some time yer in chicago (and I actually do live IN chicago unlike some people who claim to). stay posi! |
