A new interim chief and a fresh, deep and meaningful relationship are the starting point for this next chapter in the life and adventures of Nick and Judy. They have been through a lot, but sometimes just day to day life can offer more challenges than the most harrowing case.

Months after Bellwether's incarceration, an outbreak of savage predators is plaguing Zootopia. The culprit is believed to be an underground syndicate planning to shatter the relations between predator and prey, starting with Officers Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. Judy and Nick have been together for some time as a couple, but things have grown tense. The bunny finds herself short-tempered and irritated by everything the fox does, even if it's not that irritating at all. After a rather unhappy argument and a bit of a wake-up call, Judy realizes what has been the true cause of her distress all along. Can she really tell Nick what she needs?

This story occurs just a sort time after Season 2, before Season 3 of Guardian Blue. Judy, Nick, and his mother all take a train to visit Bunnyburrow and stay with Judy's family over the winter holiday. He's been there before, but how will things change now that their families are one? Will everyone accept, on this tender occasion, the happiness the two have found?

The Predator mating season is here, which usually causes the male's instinct to act toward finding their mate, however when certain red Fox's pills go missing, he must battle his instincts. As they take over, so will what his heart has being saying for the longest of times, it's almost like someone is plotting for this to happen. Lightly rated M just to be safe.

When Judy and Nick find that two other police officers, Wolford and McHorn, have gone MIA after a ten-vehicle pileup during a car chase, they are sent undercover by Chief Bogo to find out what happened to the two missing police officers. Nick and Judy must deal with old enemies in order to solve the case, and Nick must overcome a dark secret from his past with Judy's loving help.
