Supported Romantic Pairings:
Gundam Wing:
--Heero/Relena: It started off rocky, and Heero's disasterous failures and Relena's early Break the Cutie left them both lost for quite a long while, but they both turned it around handsomely by the end of EW. For the record, one of the reasons I despise Frozen Teardrops is because they torpedoed this one from almost out of nowhere.
--Duo/Hilde:
--Quatre/Catherine or Quatre/Dorothy:
--Wufei/Dorothy: A bit cracky(due to never really coming face-to-face), but their similar backgrounds and character development *do* suggest to me that this one could work out.
--Zechs/Noin: *The* first big relationship of Wing, and the one that held up the best even in FT. From Zech's quest for vengance on behalf of Sanc to his fight to shake humanity from its lust for war to his clash with the Mariemaia Army, Noin was there as his lover, supporter, and teammate (or just plain someone to pick him back up after all was said and done) from beginning to end.
Gundam SEED series:
--Athrun/Lacus: It started off as an arranged engagement, but it *did* show signs early on that it could have worked out. Sadly, the writers had other ideas...
--Kira/Cagalli(depending on circumstances) or Kira/Flay(which *was* on its way to full working order until Mr. Magnificent Destroyer of Worlds decided to use the shuttle Flay was on for target practice just to prove his point, arrgh)
--Lowe/Kisato(only less so than usual--due to my not having seen much of ASTRAY at all--but what little I have seen between these two has me going "Awww")
Gundam 00:
--Alleleujah/Marie: Starts off as puppy love in utterly horrible circumstances(and if the Trinities' upbringing was anything close to what those two had to deal with at Qianqiu, then I honestly can't bring myself to blame the trio for being as deranged as they were), then hits its stride in Season two after Alleleujah finally gets through to Marie. It got *really* bumpy thanks to her father-figure's demise and the ensuing vendetta, but settled down with an assist from Trans-Am Raiser and Halleleujah *finally* realizing just how important Marie is to Alle.
--Saji/Louise: This one wasn't easy, to say the least, and needed Louise to lose the early S1 attitude to actually be workable in the first place--in fairness, I wouldn't have picked "show's resident Cute and Psycho stumbles across the wedding party Louise just happens to be at by sheer chance and goes absolutely ballistic, leaving Louise both maimed and orphaned in the aftermath," as the means to knock it out of her, though I suspect Seiji Mizushima had a subtle political statement to make that day and decided to use Louise and Nena to make it--but once the kinks (I'm looking at *you* in particular, Ribbons Almark) got pounded out with extreme prejudice, it *is* beautiful in its own way. This is primarily thanks to the character development and sheer determiniation of Saji Crossroad in trying to get his girlfriend back(both physically and to her senses), and he most certainly earned his happy ending. Sadly, Louise Halevy herself still has *much* to answer for in her own right, and regrettably has shown no indication thus far of even the slightest desire to attempt making amends for it.
--Setsuna/Feldt: Marina's a mother figure to him, and Nena's way too high-order (fiery and impulsive, essentially an unstable S1 Louise piloting a humaniform EA-6B Prowler) for *that* pairing to work out for long at all. Besides, Setsuna and Feldt's interactions near the end of each of the two seasons, while limited, were very much heartwarming. It's a terrible shame indeed that their paths eventually had to part for good in Trailblazer, IMHO.
--Tiera/Millenia: Anytime these two interacted, it was adorable. What can I say?
Pokemon:
--Ash/May(Advance): Started off as a mentor/student relationship and developed into something much, much closer by the end of Batttle Frontier.
--Misty/Dorian(Coastline): Starts off somewhat rocky(as Misty tries to prove to him that she's superior to her sisters), but she and Dorian eventually earn one another's respect and then some.
--Brock/Lucy(Luck): Simply put, how many women have actually been *attracted* to Brock? Too bad he's not really into being chased himself...
--Dawn/Barry(Twinleaf):
