![]() Author has written 2 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog. INACTIVE. Please feel free to read through my old profile and check out my old writing from my high-school years. Going into college, I expected to possibly still be active here, but it just didn't work out. As of writing this (2018), I'm in my 20s. I still write, but not fiction or fan-fiction anymore; I'm an essayist and poet (in fact, I actually have an essay and multiple poems published, which I'm still a bit shocked by, but in a good way of course). Hope you might still enjoy my account. I decided to leave my profile and "unfinished trilogy" of Sonic the Hedgehog fan-fiction here for weirdly sentimental reasons, even though so much of it is cringeworthy writing, because it reminds me of my younger years, and at the time I was really passionate about it and similar writing I was doing. LOVE AND PEACE. Hi, there. :) I’m a college student (class of 2019), gay male, deist, moderate libertarian, gender-egalitarian, and although music is my main artistic pursuit, I also enjoy writing. I started out writing fan-fiction, but I quickly began writing original work as well. If you’d like to check out some of my original fiction (as well as nonfiction and poetry), my FictionPress account is GayDeist. For the past couple of years, I’ve really been dabbling more in nonfiction and poetry, rather than fiction or fan-fiction. As a composer, I like to write original texts/lyrics to use for anything I compose for voices, and I’ve also surprised myself in the way I’ve discovered a love for writing essays and reports. Because I’ve gotten kind of caught up in writing those and just having an insanely busy life in general, most of the fiction and fan-fiction I currently have finished is a few years old and is a bit immature compared to what I write today. LOL And though I had planned on trying to write more fan-fiction again, for the most part, I'm more interested in writing original fiction, so I don't know how active I'll be on here; I'll be much more active on my FictionPress. I had a three-part Sonic the Hedgehog fan-fiction series planned, but I only did the first two, and the beginning of the third part has been sitting untouched for several years now, and I don't know if I'm inspired by it anymore. But who knows--I may write the third part and/or get more into another fandom and post new stuff at some point. :) I enjoy writing romance, drama, and fantasy. I like to take tropes within those genres (such as high-school romance) and attempt to put my own twist on them to make them fresh and original. I tend to create darker characters and more graphic stories. This often manifests in my work as intense and graphic violence, sexuality, and so on. Right now, the main things I have posted are erotic romance for the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom, but I definitely think I should branch out in order to be a more diverse writer. :) As both a disclaimer and a trigger warning, if, based on the description above or the description accompanying a certain story, you think my work will either offend or trigger you, then I kindly ask that you note that discomfort and find a different author. I don’t mean to sound cold, but while I am absolutely open to constructive criticism, what I’m not open to is some prudish loudmouth or a very sensitive reader with a bunch of triggers bashing me, telling me I’m “wrong” or “politically incorrect” for writing the things I write. As both a musician and writer, I like to create work that expresses who I am and provides raw emotional experiences for my audience, and I don’t hold back. For example, one (musical) piece I composed was intended to evoke themes of LGBT discrimination and marriage equality activism, and I made that message clear in a composer’s note I wrote to accompany the piece. Some people consider LGBT lifestyles to be immoral, but even though they should be allowed to believe that and shouldn’t be silenced when expressing that, I also shouldn’t be silenced and told I shouldn’t have written the piece, in order to appease their moral anxiety. It is not my responsibility to create art that appeals to everybody. I just don’t believe in intellectual or artistic censorship. I’d like to emphasize that I don’t have any hatred or aversion for people with stricter moral standards or more sensitive emotional triggers than I do. If you’re morally offended by something I’ve written, then I respect your right to believe what you want; if you’ve had traumatic experiences that are triggered by my writing, then I have the utmost sympathy for you, and I would never intentionally set out to trigger someone in your situation. I only ask that you respect my right to express myself creatively and understand that my writing just isn’t for you if it’s too morally offensive or emotionally triggering for you. If you’d like to check out my work as a musician, then you can head to my YouTube channel, JonathanDanielMusic. I play piano, sing, compose music, and make some simple remixes. I’d love to get more views, likes, and subscribers! :D And I think that’s it. LOL Please feel free to leave constructive reviews or PM me, but I will not tolerate bullying and harassment. If you continually and consistently leave reviews or PM’s that are not constructive and are merely belittling, demeaning, and caustic, then as much as I dislike censorship, I will consider you as a harasser causing me unnecessary stress I shouldn’t have to deal with, so I will have to block you. I hope you enjoy my work. Have a beautiful day. :) |
