Hello to anyone reading this!

Okay, so here I suppose I get to say a bit about me - hmmm, well I'll keep it short. I am a 46 year old (nearly 47 but who's counting, eh?) male who works in the offshore industry as a trainer / assessor. Married, with children, 2 completely lovable but ditzy dogs and a mortgage, I've been a bit of a history buff for a long time, now even to the point where one of my hobbies is as a historical interpreter / re-enactor, mostly in the eras where longbows were prominent (Anglo / Scottish border wars, Hundred Years War etc), with occasional excursions into the English Civil War (when pushed...)

So, what am I dong here? Well, as well as my love of history, I have a love of writing and I've been doing this on and off for some years, although I'm unpublished at the present. I also have a love of myth and magic, and to this end I have been a fan of shows such as 'Robin of Sherwood' (the one with the wonderful Clannad soundtrack), 'Merlin' 'Sapphire and Steel' and if anyone remembers it - 'The One Game'.

I have been following the BBC TV series 'Atlantis' from the start and I've loved it (and yes, I am broken hearted and fuming at the decision to axe it after only 2 series!!!!), and also the 'Musketeers', which has I think brought Dumas's characters to life in a whole new and exciting way.

So, I hope to put some works on here for perusal, and I welcome your comments upon them!
