![]() Author has written 5 stories for Flashpoint, and Criminal Minds. Hi all. As you can see, English is not my native language. I can communicate in English, easily read without a dictionary, but writing in English still is a big problem for me... I hope (I promise!) to improve my English after all. About me: I am a woman 40 years old, from Russia, St. Petersburg. I love: - traveling (I've traveled half of the world, except North and South America and Australia. Most of all I like Indonesia, the Philippines and the Maldives.) - cooking (Russian cuisine, of course, is the most beloved. As well as Italian, Indian, Tatar...) - scuba diving and underwater photography (Not only scuba diving, but also technical diving, cave diving... ) - soccer (FC Zenith) - martial arts (I studied Taekwondo when I was young, but now I just prefer watch Muay Thai ) - breeding orchids (I have more than 30 Phalaenopsis in my house now, in addition to dozens of other plants. But I never buy beautiful and healthy plants. I buy only discounted ones - barely alive and prepared to disposal- and cure them.) - cross stitching... (Unfortunately, not enough time for this lately) - Help for stray animals. (I have two cats from the shelter.) Recently I became involved writing fan fiction. It is difficult for me - to write in English. My language skills is not enough, I feel so limited... about my preferences in fan fiction. Flashpoint I like the active dynamic stories similar to the original show. I like stories based on the original episodes of the show. "What would happen if ..." I like a little change the conditions that are given in the original show and see where it leads. I like to put the characters in a terrible situation, put them faced with a difficult choice and then watch how they are selected out. I don't much like romantic-stories or family-stories. I can't stand infinitely-pregnant-Jules-having 5,6,7 kids-but still working in the special unit-stories :))) It's just stupid! There are so many interesting characters besides Sam and Jules in this show, so many interesting interactions! In my opinion, it is not fair that most of the stories here fixed on Sam / Jules. I like how this line was given in the original show - along with the action, intriguing, but not ruining the basic style of the show. I admit the presence of romance in my stories, but only if this addition to the main action. So, I don't write romantic stories and I don't even read them. Romance and love - for real life! :) I really, really can't stand a "Mary Sue" stories. Yuck... Ed and Sam are my favorite characters. But I categorically not going to write any stories about Sam. I think that there are much too many stories about Sam here. It's not fair to the rest of the team :) I am Doctor of Medicine with 15 years experience. So I can't read without laughing stories where the character gets a near-fatal injuries (falls from a great height, receives multiple gunshot wounds, gets in the epicenter of a nuclear explosion...), but it turns out that there no serious injury. Surface damage only! A-HA-HA! I'm sorry, but it's possible the describe of trauma, injury, medical procedures in my stories will be more or less realistic. (By the way, if you need any help with the description of injury or treatment or recovery, feel free to contact me. I'll be really glad to help you.) I truly believe in friendship. Therefore, there is always friendship in my stories. I like fiction and fantasy and imagination, but also I like the authenticity and validity and credibility. And finally ... Bald men - is my passion. Ha-ha! |
