Koschei Masters is the combined effort of KitKatt0430 and Emcey_Squared (known from here on out as Kit and Emcey). The stories under this username are all co-written by the two of us (unless we specifically state otherwise) and all take place in in our alternate reality for Doctor Who. Everything changes in our universe when the Doctor's TARDIS tries to shake off Jack at the beginning of Utopia. Instead of heading to the end of the universe, the TARDIS travels to the planet of Centra where a naturally occurring temporal incursion has made the world off limits to time travelers anywhen. It's also the place where the Master hid himself when he fled the Time War. Main Pairings for Season One: The Master/The Doctor, Jack/Ianto Crossover List: The Master Plan Universe Timeline What Lies Beneath - There are Cybermen on Centra, but that's the least of the problems unfolding on the planet. The Master has reawakened after two decades of hiding as the most notorious Sorceresses' Knight in Centran history: Seifer Almasy. (Coming Soon!) (virtual season one, episode one) (introduces Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Final Fantasy VIII to the crossover universe) New Beginnings - When he arrived on the world of Merald, the Master was expecting to find a powerful telepath capable of helping him track the origin of the four-beat signal in his head. Instead he finds a young woman with no understanding of her heritage, a not-so-hostile ex-enemy, and an unexpected plot to conquer the universe. (Plot development stage.) (virtual season one, episode two) Tantalize - Having found evidence of a psionic hiding on Earth in the year 2009, the Master visits a mostly abandoned funfair in hopes of discovering more about the drums that plague him. He wasn't expecting to be confronted with disturbing hints about his future instead... (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode three) (introduces The Sarah Jane Adventures into the crossover universe) Casualties - Tracking down the Doctor is never an easy task, but the Master has managed to locate him in order to reunite Jenny with her father. Unfortunately, while Fujin heads off to the spa with Donna, the Master finds himself forced to spend the day with his fellow Time Lords on a tour of Midnight's sapphire 'waterfall'. (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode four) Tempo - Finally taking the time to visit the Ood, as Eve's ship suggested, the Master lands in the 42nd century only to realize he's arrived too soon. The Ood are still slaves and they're suffering from some disease called 'red eye.' Fortunately for them, the Master has always been too curious for his own good. (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode five) Deep End - Before leaving the Oodsphere, Ood Sigma told the Master that he could not defeat the source of the drums without the help of other Time Lords. Fortunately for the Master's pride, the Doctor and Jenny aren't the only other Time Lords around. Long ago, the Master had a friend called Rallon who was lost to the Toymaker... (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode six) Mercy - Wanting to gradually readjust Rallon to the universe after his centuries of captivity, the Master takes his crew to Christmas Eve on Earth in the year 1851. It should be a completely relaxing vacation complete with snow and off-tune Christmas carols. What they get instead is a mad human who thinks he's the Doctor and a mystery involving Cybershades and missing children. (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode seven) The Darkness - In the middle of the Time Vortex, the Master's TARDIS receives a message from the Doctor. The Earth has been stolen and the darkness is coming... (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode eight) Bridging the Distance - The Master is finally traveling with the Doctor, but nothing seems to be going right for them. So while the Doctor investigates what may or may not be a tiny wormhole, the Master goes in search of some spare parts for their project with the Chameleon Arch. However, he should have remembered that the streets of London are dangerous at night... (plot development stage) (virtual season one, episode nine) Timeless - The drums have gotten worse than ever and even the Doctor, Jenny, and Rallon are no longer enough to hold the signal at bay. After restoring Donna's mind with the Chameleon Arch, the Master lets the drums lead him to a gateway capable of healing an entire planet... or destroying one. (plot development stage) (virtual season one finale) The Master's Companions Fujin Engel - Appears in What Lies Beneath, New Beginnings, Tantalize, Casualties, Tempo, Deep End, Mercy, The Darkness, and Timeless Challenges The Master Challenge The Master wasn't Professor Yana. Instead he was... basically anyone you want him to be. Instead of showing up at the end of the universe, the TARDIS takes the Doctor, Martha, and Jack to wherever the Master is in hiding in your universe. The Master can be the 'big bad' or not, so long as his backstory (how he got to be whoever he is) is believable. (So no dropping him in the middle of something like Psych and trying to make Shawn the Master. Shawn's personality is all wrong for the Master and it's pretty well established that Henry didn't adopt him.) Pairings are irrelevant, though Master/Doctor is preferred. We're not picky about length, either, but we would like there to be enough written that everything makes sense. (If you can manage that in a drabble, kudos to you.) We like long, chaptered fanfics, however, and we are not above admitting that we're issuing the challenge in order to bring in new, Master-centric stories to read. If we receive five (minimum) responses to our challenge, then we'll start The Master Community (or something along those lines) to maintain a repository of the story-responses. |
