Author has written 4 stories for Merlin. Hi I'm as much of a fan as the next person of good fantasy. Merlin, among many other fantastic fantasy shows, was something that I really enjoyed watching. I was and still am an avid fan of Harry Potter. Some other things i've enjoyed are Once Upon a time (haven't gotten around to watch season 2 yet), Young Dracula (Best Vampire series out there), Pirates in the Caribbeans (though it has been a while since I've watched those) and so much more. I've actually read a lot more books. Some books I've enjoyed are the Harry Potter Series (obviously), the Darren Shan saga (good read, a very different take on vampires), the Way of shadows series( have to read the third book), the Shadows of the Apt, To kill a Mockingbird (it was quite intense and funny), Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy (though it was very confusing), a tale of two cities and much much more. I've been writing for a long time. I've written so many stories, mostly fantasy. But often I find that when I'm in the middle of writing a story I lose interest or inspiration. Sometimes when I'm in the middle of one story, I get an idea for another story so I start it then don't end up finishing the first one. For Merlin, I actually wrote the first two chapters of Rude Awakenings and a couple of chapters for Ravaged Destiny before I got the crazy idea to publish them. I've never thought of publishing before so I thought why not and gave it a shot. Hopefull, now that I've got the stories here it'll mean I actually finish them. Rude Awakenings is my first story that I'm posting here. I actually have several chapters written for it and I'll probably post once or twice every week or so. It basically revolves around Arthur and Gwen discovering new things. After being forced to flee from Camelot, they realise that everything they've been taught has been wrong and come to terms with it. As of yet, i'm thinking roughly 11-13 chapters- may change though Ravaged Destiny is another story that I have started. Currently I have five chapters written for it. The idea for this story has been with me for a while, so I am happy to have gotten it down on paper. This is basically set after Merlin's magic is revealed. Arthur heart hardened against magic banishes him. The story follows Merlin as he rebuilds his life, meeting new people. While back in Camelot, Arthur isn't at all sure who to trust anymore. Camelot begins to fall without Merlin and Arthur will need to accept that he needs magic to survive. The Silver Lining- another story that I have written. Its currently a one shot but may become a multi chapter fic if people want me to continue and I find inspiration. This is a completely different take to my other two stories. Its a future fic and follows Merlin and Arthur who are on different sides of the law. Its been inspired by the many future and thief-Merlin stories. Actually now I have two weeks before uni starts. Next week I have my orientation and stuff. I'm hoping to get a lot of work done now before then As always reviews are much appreciated and I will be very grateful. 4/04/2013- So now I'm on my mid semester break. Its so relaxing! Who would've thought uni is practically full time work? I have no time for myself anymore, what with the nearly two hour traveling each day, the long day at uni plus all the work I need to stay on top of! I know I was supposed to make a schedule to make time to write my stories but haven't got to it and I don't think I will. I'll just go with the flow, I think. Anyway ideas for The Silver Lining just keep rolling. Only problem is I can't find time to write it and I tend to forget the ideas as quickly as they come. Perhaps I should embrace the habit of writing them down? Ravaged Destiny is looking good and I'm quite happy with how its progressing. Although I'm not too happy with how little time I have for writing it, but its getting there. I know I said I'll be finishing Rude Awakenings soon, but I think I've lost my inspiration for it. It started out as a brilliant idea but it's kind of just petered out now. Besides I'm busy with other things so haven't been able to work on it. I'm not sure if I'll finish it though. I may decide to go back to it, but for now I have no plans on continuing it. No promises though! Who knows? Maybe I might finish it.
