Personal Info: I'm sixteen and a junior in High School, and in case the blatantly feminine username wasn't enough of a give away, I'm a girl. Interests right now are Harry Potter, Teen Titans, Danny Phantom, Artemis Fowl, and some Batman stuff. I read a ton, mainly fantasy, but eventually I got pretty bored with the books I had and stumbled across this sight. I didn't want these stories to end and I was overjoyed when I found out that they didn't have to.

I do more reading than writing, I'm afraid. I'm just lazy like that I suppose, but also because I'm still experimenting with my writing style and storytelling. Practice makes perfect, I guess, or at least it makes for a little better writing.

My Stories:

Wounds of the Heart, though it got the highest amount of responses from the reading population, has been discontinued as far as that particular version goes. I like to think that the rewrite is infinitely better, but I guess that's not saying much considering how much I've come to hate the old one.

Wounds: I'm reasonably happy with this one so far, and depending on my laze-about tendencies and of course my wonderful beta, the next chapter should be out shortly. Chapter 3 put up 4/14/2010.

The Book Man: The response to this story is less than I anticipated, seeing as I did like that story better than Wounds of the Heart at the time. I guess it is pretty out there as far as the plotline (you, as readers really have no idea how far out there yet, I suppose) and the short chapters are definitely not helping. I'm not using the chapter length as an excuse or anything like that, but admittedly when scanning for stories, I often skip over the ones that have 1000 words or less per chapter. And it's not an unfounded assumption either; usually short chapters do indicate a lacking in writing skill. Not all the time, but that's the general conclusion I've drawn.

I went off on quite the tangent, didn't I?

Since re-reading it a couple of days ago, I find that I'm not so happy with it. Crazy how much your writing can change in just a little over a year, huh? A re-write may or may not be pending for this one depending on whether or not I can scrounge up some inspiration. I tried to update the story as it was and put up Chapter 5 (6 including prologue) but writing that thing was like pulling teeth. I barely got a thousand words for all my effort!
