![]() I'm a 14 year old girl with a unhealthy love of Harry Potter, Doctor Who and crime dramas. I am more a passive reader than a writer, but there is a chance that someday I might write something. I have a weird fixation on crossovers. I can't really explain it. General Pet Peeves: Mary Sues: I hate these characters. Obviously blatantly and ridiculously named after the author, her friends and mythical creatures of goodness, Sapphire Willow Unicorn Jessica Graceful Silver Star comes in, hated and abused, and...gets the guy and eliminates all her competition within the first five minutes. All while being nice, sweet, pretty and wearing amazing clothes. Smutfics/Pornfics: I don't mind the occasional lemon, but a whole fix of basically people shagging? Jus doesn't do it for me. Whump: Okay...so you enjoy reading about people getting tortured/abused. Bloody brilliant. That's not creepy at all. Things I can't stand in Harry Potter: Nice Snape: Snape's a mean SOB who uses his bullying at the hands of others (like his father and the Marauders) to justify being a bully, even as an adult. Even though he is on the "Light Side", he is consistently cruel to Harry, and really every other non-Slytherin student. How the bloody hell did he keep his job until he died? For that matter, the REASON he joined the light is because Voldemort refused to save Lily! He was perfectly fine with Voldemort killing Harry, James and countless others! He even did some of the killing himself. And then you fan fiction writers decide that he is actually a good person and Lily loved him and he becomes Harry's mentor/adoptive father/actual father? I find even what Jo did out of reach for him. Harry/Draco: Okay. This is a bit less unlikely than nice Snape, but still. COME ON people! Harry suddenly decides that Draco is not junior Death-muncher material and goes and shags him? Really? Hermione/Draco: Again: Hermione is the smartest witch of her age, and a muggleborn, and Draco is a prejudiced pureblood bastard! That guy is never in a million years gonna go for someone of less social standing than him, much less someone firmly on the side of Dumbledore and the Light Dumbledore: Good o'l Dumbles. A bloody manipulative bastard if I ever saw one. Managed to keep Harry, Boy-who-hyphenates-his-bloody-name, in a verbally and physically abusive home until he was 17. Did it occur to him to check to see how his Savior was doing? Either it didn't, and he is incredibly incompetent, or he did, saw the situation, and decided he wanted a pawn. Jo's portrayal of him as a virtuous leader of the light doesn't make SENSE! Harry/Voldemort: Okay. I can see Harry under some circumstances turning into a Death-muncher and therefore getting "favorites privileges", but Voldemort really doesn't seem capable of love. Like a Dalek, he appears to have squashed any compassion or love he might have once had to become a power hungry killing machine without morals (Oh how I love Doctor Who/Harry Potter metaphors). He definitely isn't gonna go get Harry from the Dursley's and be his new snuggle buddy. Mortal enemies don't really do that. Top Harry Potter Quotes: Harry: "You're the weak one. And you'll never know love, or friendship. And I feel sorry for you" Hermione: "Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have." Ron: "I want to fix that in my memory forever. Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret..." Dumbledore: "It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow up to be" Harry Potter OTP: Harry/Luna - Not very many of these out there Doctor Who: I love Doctor Who, especially the 10th Doctor, though I love River too. I cried when he left. Also when Rose left. And the 11th Doctor. This shows that I have no life and have therefore resorted to fan fiction. Top Doctor Who Quotes: 9th Doctor "Rose, before I go, I just want to tell you you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I!" 10th Doctor "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wobbly-wobbly timey-wimey...stuff" 11th Doctor "Yeah, it's cool. Bow ties are cool" The Master: "You know what it's like... new job, all that paperwork. I think it's down the back of the settee. I did have a quick look, I found a pen, a sweet, a bus ticket, and er... have you met the wife?" Amy: "When I was a little girl I had an imaginary friend, and when I grew up, he came back." River: "Hello, sweetie." Donna: "He saves planets, rescues civilizations, defeats terrible creatures... and runs a lot. Seriously, there is an outrageous amount of running involved." Martha: "You need to be careful, because you know the Doctor's wonderful and he's brilliant, but he's like fire. Stand too close and people get burned." Jack: "Sorry, old man! I gotta go meet a girl...But you've got an excellent bottom, too!" Clara: "Is there a word for total screaming genius that sounds modest and just a tiny bit sexy?" Rory: "Well, I died, and turned into a Roman. It's very distracting." Rose: "Right, now we're in trouble. And it's only just beginning..." Doctor Who OTP: 11/River What else...I also like Sherlock, Torchwood, HIMYM, Once Upon a Time, Buffy, Psych, Scrubs, Modern Family, Twilight, The Hunger Games, Maximum Ride, The Mortal Instruments, and basically most other sci-fi/fantasy books out there, though Sherlock and Torchwood stand out out of those, and I'm a sucker for sitcoms.
