I am a 20-something female writing enthusiast. I began writing for boredom in first grade and began my novel (which is still in progress) in seventh grade. Writing my own stories has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and have probably spent a greater percentage of my life writing than sleeping. I also deeply enjoy visual media. I love watching TV shows or movies and studying them for hidden plot points and nuanced characterization or movements. I'm not really sure why, but I tell skeptics it's to help me hone my own craft, which is partially true.

My submissions are few and far between, but that is because I prefer to have a story that is at least complete before I begin presenting it. I may still make changes in unsubmitted chapters, but at least I can promise the story will be complete once you see the first chapter because, personally, I hate cliff hangers and don't want to do that to you. For long.

I do tend to write dark. Not always, but I have realized that I tend to express emotion and devotion almost exclusively through whump and angst. My stories tend to get graphic, though they do avoid sexual themes and erotica. I will provide warnings for darkness, but not for specific events, e.g. character death, capture, suicidal thoughts/attempts, etc. because telling you beforehand is the fastest way to destroy the power of the story. Also why my descriptions are woefully brief, though I've considered changing that.

Current obsession: TMNT, specifically the Nic 2012 version (even though I've only seen through season 2), but the whole universe, really.

Oncoming obsession: Captain America, specifically the Bucky-Steve angle. Needless to say, frothing at the mouth for Civil War.

Other favorites: MegaMan NT Warrior/Axess, Teen Titans, Ouran, Criminal Minds, LOTR/Hobbit, Danny Phantom, Fairly Odd Parents, Lab Rats, Rise of the Guardians, Batman, Star Trek (pretty much all versions except DS9), X-Men (Evolution and live-action movies)

Past favorites (I still enjoy them time-to-time): Bones, Chuck, The Outsiders (based on S. E. Hinton's book), Penguins of Madagascar

Greatest fear: My favorite TV shows and their capacity to hurt me. Lovers are fools.

I think that sums it up fairly well. I didn't go into all the books I like because, honestly, that would simply take too long. My favorites fall along the lines of Wings of Dawn and Wild Magic.

I am a beta reader and I love it! It's so much fun finding people who have the same loves I have and spazzing over them together with mind-blowing stories and a well-turned phrase. And let's face it, as a writer, I naturally love discussing the craft with people who understand.
