So Thor didn't prevent Ragnarok... He kind of caused it. Now headed for Earth to find refuge, Thor finds his footing as King and Valkyrie proves to be more than a warrior with a dark backstory. Through heartbreak and tragedy, they find themselves inexplicably and utterly paired. (Infinity War left me starved of Thorkyrie interaction and I decided I'm fixing that mess.)
