What can we tell the curious about us.

For starters, hi we are the FicChicks2

That’s right we, you may call us Moonspell & Starlight, twin co-writers and yes we are identical not fraternal.

We are twin sisters who have bee obsessed with anime and manga from a young age. How young? Well lets just say that we were the target age for our favorite anime Cardcaptor Sakura when it originally came out over 20 years ago and it was still being released on VHS. DVD was a new and expensive thing. Yes we are adults now and if you do not know what VHS is google it while I go cry.

Over the years fanfiction reading and writing has remained a valued hobby that we use to express ourselves creatively and de-stress from our high stress careers in animal care and human behavioral services. Basically one of us is a licensed therapist and the other is vet tech, so we see and hear both the best and worse of people.

Through years of school, including graduate studies and state licensing exams, anime and manga remained a valuable escape from the world where the characters struggles and humor inspired us to face the real world with renewed vigor. Over the years we have seen many great and not so great titles come through the industry and as long as we leave entertained at the end I won't waste time debating which show is better then another because there is always something of value to be found in any art form. Personal opinion.

Our current personal collection is bloated to the point where it would be impossible to name them all but as two people who have a whole room in our apartment dedicated to our collection I encourage everyone to purchase and support the titles you love so the industry we love can thrive. Plus a room with wall to wall shelves full of DVD and manga makes your house the one that everyone wants to hang out in.

Fanfiction, like any fan work is a way for fans to interact and embrace their favorite characters in a new way. So I hope at the end of the day you enjoy our stories and feel happier and more relaxed after you have read them.

We are continuously working on our stories and try to post new chapters regularly. Most chapters have a few months in between them do to the time and care we put in to the writing on top of our busy work schedules.

Please take the time to review if you can as both productive feedback and constructive criticism help produce a better product.

Finally some elder advice, embrace every day with a smile and an open mind. Say hello to people you walk past in the street even if you don't know them. You may find that the world and the people you encounter in it are not as bad as you thought. Express yourself in anyway that makes you feel proud and never be ashamed of who you are because you will find friends who will love and cherish every part of you as long as you are honest with yourself.

Also remember to take care of our furry friends and if you are struggling in life don't be afraid to seek out help and guidance. You will be glad you did.
