Name: Winnie

Age: Old enough to vote, too young to drink. Damn, that says something about my country, doesn't it?

Education: Homeschooled (specifically, unschooled) Kindergarten through 12th grade. Seems to have worked out pretty well.

Occupation: Unemployed college student. Original, no?

Political Stance: I'm very conservative on some issues and very liberal on others. Depends on the specific issue. Mostly, though, I'm not too fussed about any of it.

Ramen: Sapporo Ichiban, definitely. Or Maruchan. Creamy chicken on the Maruchan and just about anything on the Ichiban. But no seafood flavor. That's revolting.

Marital Status: Here's a hint: In my non-existent high-school yearbook, I would be listed as "Most likely to become Crazy Old Spinster With Too Many Cats."

Fandom(s): Transformers, Fullmetal Alchemist and Star Trek are the big ones, though I dabble in many others.

Wait, Transformers? Yes. Mostly G1, Animated and Bayverse. For Bayverse, I prefer the 2007!verse stuff and tend to try ignoring the clusterfuck that was RotF. Once the third movie comes along, I may or may not revise that preference. For G1 I like either a conglomeration or IDWverse. Not too picky on the G1 canon, really. It's just too fragged up to even try getting nitpicky over. As for Animated, I'm pretty sure there's only one continuity there, though I haven't read most of the comics. I'm at least semi-familiar with Beast Wars and the Unicron trilogy, though I never really got attached to either of them. Don't know nothin' about RiD or most of the Japanese G1 stuff, though, except that Headmasters are the worse idea Furman ever fixated on. Poor, poor Sunny...

Fullmetal Alchemist? You must like anime. Depends on what it is. I like traditional animation (or CG'd stuff that mimics it) in general, and there's a lot of it that's good that also happens to be Japanese. Same goes for comics/manga. But when it comes to FMA, I tend to prefer the manga over the original anime, and the original anime over the new one. They've all got their good points and bad points. I'm in love with the first anime and its characters, but the manga has the superior plot (IMHO) and is better done overall. Not quite as many gaping black holes in the plot. And don't get me started on CoS. I go back and forth as to whether or not I want to deny its existence, but that's a whole 'nother banana. As for the new anime...Well, I suppose it's nice to see the manga version of events get animated, but...Yeah. Just watch a few episodes. You'll see what I mean.

Star Trek? You mean the movie that just came out? No. I actually haven't seen that yet, nor do I plan to do so. The very idea of it strikes fear into my heart. When I say "Star Trek" I'm probably talking about either Voyager (for all its faults, it's the Star Trek I grew up with, and as such it shall always hold a special place in my heart.) or TOS. Next Generation was pretty good too, but I never got terribly hooked on it. DS9...Well, I can't say, really. I never saw a whole lot of it, and was confused by what I did see by virtue of not knowing what the hell was going on in the plot because they played the reruns out of order. As for Enterprise...We shall not mention that atrocity again. Ever.
