Author has written 4 stories for Battlestar Galactica: 2003.

Greetings All...

My name is Steven (Steve) Robeson, and I reside in Winchester, Tennessee, which is about 60 miles west of Chattanooga and 40 miles north of Huntsville, Alabama. I am a retired professional emergency services Nurse and retired United States Marine. I originally hail from NE Ohio, but if I never travel north of the Mason-Dixon line again except for professional or avocational purposes, that's fine by me!

Like many folks in FanFic, I have always harbored a desire to "write something." I have written some short texts on emergency communications for Emergency Medical Service users, but that was hardly fiction. In late 2008 I bought a military action novel. I usually avoid that genre since, as a retired Marine, I find too many of those stories seem to be drafted by REMF's who got their "experience" from reading "Soldier of Fortune" or "Guns-and-Ammo"...This one, though, had some nice cover graphics and the first few pages seemed to promise a good read...

After plunking down $10 and getting into my favorite reading configuration at home, though, I quickly realized that I'd been skunked again. I kept thinking "I could do better...I could do better..." So, I decided to try!

As an avid "re-imagined" Battlestar Galactica fan, I was completely consumed by the new series. And in the very first episodes, as in the first episode of the 1978 series, there was a dangling story line about "What happened to the people who missed the exodus?". The new series made it unerringly clear that there were surviviors on the surface that not only survived, but flourished. I simply carried the premise further in that one could expect a star-travelling civilization to have lesser outposts in their known space...So what happened to them?

There came the inspiration for "Shadows of Futures Past." The name pays homage to the underlying theme in BSG of "This Has All Happened Before And Will Happen Again."

I am also trying to find a publisher to take my stories commercially. Before you bomb me with messages about how difficult it is to get a "fanfic" story published, I already know...But I'm going to try, anyway.

I'm also working on an action-adventure -drama novel that takes place in Eastern Tennessee. No details, yet, but it will certainly be a lot easier to get paid for!

Well..there you have it...How I came to be in this place at this time with this mission. I hope you'll enjoy my works. Please feel free to e-mail me directly at stevenrobeson at yahoo dot com. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is ALWAYS welcomed. I've made several changes to characters and situtations in SFP as a result of stuff other folks have suggested in the past.

Direct email is welcomed at stevenrobeson@yahoo.com, but PLEASE be sure to put something in the subject line about FanFic or BSG, otherwise I might accidently dump it as spam!
