![]() Author has written 8 stories for Firefly, and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Hello. Thanks for taking a look. Hope you enjoyed the story. Rock Scorpion! That's a dumb name! Yes, yes it is. But I hope that it is appropriate for the sort of stories I try to write: structurally sound with a sting in the tail. Know your canon, respect your characters, but don't let anything get in the way of a good yarn. This is my rule for writing fanfic. I am not sure if it is a popular opinion but it's mine and I intend to stick to it. Fight for Life. This BtVS story is no more. It was going to be a trilogy starting with 'Bad Blood', followed by a story called 'Damnation Dance' and concluded with a story called 'Falling Forever'. You can find BB below but I stopped writing half-way through DD and withdrew the posting. Buffy is over. It was great while it lasted but it's gone. Time to move on. It's a pity because I had some interesting story ideas that still percolate up from the depths from time to time: Giles moving back to England and setting up a detective agency, Oz running into migrating sasquatches in Washington state and a Spike and Druscilla story set in the 1800's during the California gold rush. Best to let sleeping dogs lie. But just think, Spike in a stetson... Come on! Sheriff Big-Bad. Stakes and Six-shooters at the Sunnydale Sundowner. That might still be worth doing. Firefly I have posted a few one-offs and a story called 'Symbols of Freedom' that is the beginning of a post-BDM (Big Damn Movie) second season. The more I write of this second season the more stories come to mind. It's starting to scare me. I think I might never get to the end. Five hundred good words a day, that's the mission. I am very proud of one of the stories called 'Black on Black'. If you haven't read it and know your Firefly 'verse than please give it a look. Though don't read the reviews first as some of them completley spoil the ending. Not complaining about getting reviews - would never do that - just throwing out a little warning. A little bit about myself. I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland and I work in medical research. I adore microscopes the way some people love mobile phones and cars. I started learning Tai Chi in the New Year and am also training for my shodan grade in Aikido. I like to swim, cycle, camp in the mountains and daydream with intent. I also have a fundamental character flaw - I am completely intrigued by professional wrestling; am currently watching TNA self-implode: so much potential for entertainment - too many coke-heads at the wheel. That's it. Take it easy RS | |||||||
