This story will follow the exploits of Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene after the fall of the prison in the Season 4 Midseason Finale. Having lost their home, their family, and friends, Daryl and Beth are forced to set out on their own. The brutality of their world and their survival instincts will set them on a course to form a bond they never expected.

Beth was stolen from him. Daryl couldn't save her then. In a broken world where you only have what you can protect, can Daryl find what was taken from him? Is he strong enough to save Beth, and in doing so, save the person she helped him become? This story will follow the lives of Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene following the escape from Terminus.

Some things change. People come and go, the seasons shift and blur, time passes, generations rise and fall, but some things never really change. Do they? Rated for the colourful language of the Dixon's and for various other nefarious things.

First, as usual I own nothing of TWD. Second, blame Mistyeye for this-she had a fantastic idea for when Rick and company meet Negan-seriously go read it on AO3 under Bubblesbromleigh. Anyway, my mind wandered all day with all the endless possibilities. So here is just one of the many I spent my day at work thinking up.

This idea popped into my head while reading TWD spoilers today. This chapter is just the random thought that came into my head, hoping to develop it into a full fledged story. This chapter starts the story from the middle or thereabouts. I'll go back and frame it as I scribble.

STILL pissed about that deplorable finale. My mind has been teeming with a million ways it could have been better. This is just one of the many ideas I came up with. Takes place in Alexandria shortly after Rick and company arrive. Seems each story I write is getting darker and more full of angst and drama and unhappiness. Daryl returns home to Alexandria after an accident out on the road, he finds himself being taken care of by the woman he had, had his eyes on for month, Briar. After managing to put his shoulder back into place and wrestle him into a bubble bath, he finds himself tumbling down a slippery slope that ends at his bed. Pure fluff, no smut (unfortunately) Daryl x OFC.
