My name is Meagan and I am an English Literature Grad Student at Northwestern State University and I proudly hold a BA in English Literature (British Lit) and Creative Writing (fiction and screenplay) from LSU. Despite my being there mid and post budget cuts, I still have pride in being an LSU legacy and Alumni and I will be a Tiger fan until the day I die because I was born and raised to love SEC football and Love Purple and Live Gold. I currently work as a Graduate Assistant and am a tutor, I really think they put me in that position because I’ve been a peer tutor since I was in 7th grade, but I have a rather random resume that isn’t just built around educating and tutoring. I don’t really mind tutoring much, despite how trying it is at times, because I actually hope to teach one day and I have always wanted to help people in any way I can and it’s somewhat easier than most of my other job qualifications.

I enjoy teen fiction and trash vampire novels as well Harry Potter and classical literature. I can read, comprehend, and analyze Shakespeare like a complete loser as well as pick apart a movie and analyze it in rather short amount of time. I like being able to see between the lines, and lucky for me it’s a fairly strong talent of mine. I am a rather critical viewer and reader, but in doing this I try to take every element of a story into account before I open my mouth with an opinion.

I am also a YouTube addict, but this started after school took other hobbies out of my life.

I am a self proclaimed bitch, but in all reality I’m actually just a good person that knows when to be hard. I can cook like an old southern lady and be as bad of a smart ass as an old southern man. I am a girl with a love for beauty in art, music, dance, the written word, and science and a love for animals. I am currently a Humane Society foster mom for stray and rescued dogs in my area of Central Louisiana and since I live on the entrance to an abandoned army base I also rescue dogs and puppies on my own and find them new homes.

Other than these personal things, the only for sure things that I know and control in my life are the fact that I want to finish school and hopefully finish some of my writing and get it out there into the public. Disaster and chaos tends to follow me and this leaves a great deal of my life up to chance, but I know I can at least control my education and the things my mind puts into stories. But yeah, this is long and that’s me.
