I'm just a good ole country girl from Southern Illinois (not Illinois... Southern Illinois...it's a totally different state of mind). I am currently a college student, and will graduate May 2010 with my Bachelor's in History. I plan on going on and getting my Master's in Library Science, and hopefully being either a librarian, a family genealogist, or (my favorite, but least likely) a NASCAR historian.

I'm a huge NASCAR fan! Big Dale Earnhardt Junior fan. And, I'm not one of them that liked him just because of his last name. I actually liked him before I knew who his father was. I started watching Busch Series Racing because of him, and I actually moved into Cup Racing when he did. After a while I became an Earnhardt Senior fan, but I was, and still am, a big Dale Earnhardt Junior fan, and will be through thick and thin. I love watching the old races, and listening to the old drivers telling stories and joking around together. I've never been to a race, but plan on changing that as soon as I get MONEY and someone to go with!

I also enjoy watching NCIS. It is the best show! There's a great mixture of humor and adventure/drama.

My favorite movies would be Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, all John Wayne movies, Love Comes Softly series, Gone With The Wind, Oklahoma!, Singin' in the Rain, Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, Anchors Aweigh, Australia, the old musicals (Gene Kelly, Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland)!

Books: I could go on and on about what books I like, but there's not room. I like romantical/mushy, but not too muschy historical novels.

I don't think of myself as the best writer in the world by no means. I know that I have a lot of work that needs to be done. I'm a perfectionist, so nothing is ever perfectly finished in my mind. I fret over anything and everything. But, I DO enjoy feedback from my stories. I like to know whether people like what I am writing or not. I like to know if what I am writing is anywhere near what the characters are supposed to be like. Sometimes I forget that I am writing about actual characters, and I start to drift them towards these characters in my head that I make up.

I write fanfic mainly for NCIS. I've done a few others, but not in a long time. I also write stories to pass time. It's a way to disappear from the world for a while, and have events actually happen the way that I want them to happen. It's a way to let my mind drift, and still be proactive.
