I am a Mad Hatter. Not the original, not the only, just a Mad Hatter.

I live in the land of the midnight sun and the high noon moon. That's Fairbanks Alaska to all you lower 48'ers. I do not live in an igloo, nor are there penguins. Yes there are polar bears and grizzly bears. And yes there is a moose that frequents my yard as well as a rabbit that lives under my porch. And no, I don't live out in the sticks though I do live on the edge of town. But still in town.

A bit about myself. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease on May 5th 2008. For those of you that don't know what it is, it is a gastrointestinal disease that causes inflammation and swelling of the intestines. I was diagnosed after emergency surgery at 3am. Worst pain ever. And have been living with it ever since.

Chances are you know someone with the disease, but didn't know they had it. A lot of people do, about 1 in 1000. It sucks. And there's not a lot doctors can do. So we trug on

I started writing 'Shego looses a piece of herself' as a way to cope with my illness. As I will have it the rest of my life, and just kinda need a a way to vent.

I like all things anime. Cartoons too. I read a lot, both on ffn.net and books, comics, and manga. I like music. Mostly alternative. I like the out doors. I love going mudding on my three wheeler. I also like to rock climb. But unfortunately all the places to climb around where I live are three hours out. So not safe to climb solo. Oh well.
