A Harry Potter fan living in the United States, I am particularly interested in Snape and Snape-centric fanfics. Other favorite characters are Hermione, Lucius, Draco, Molly, Arthur and Minerva. My own HP fanfics usually involve an original character in a major role. Hogwarts is a centuries-old school that boards hundreds of students every year, many witches and wizards never attend, and then there are all of those pesky Muggles. Thus, canon "excludes" many charaters.
