Lucky scratched her beard, “They work like guns but people round here aren’t sure whether to call them guns or not.”

Grey looked at her puzzled.

“Well,” Lucky said, “When they do less damage than a bow, you kind of wonder.”

“They do less damage than a bow?” asked Grey surprised.

“Think of it this way.” Lucky said. “Compared to IRL, adventures here are stronger, which means they can pull back tauter bow strings, handle the snap back, etc. etc. But a gun? That’s got nothing to do with the adventurer's strength so more stuff has to be done to the gun itself to push it up to the same level as a bow. And unless you’re a really skilled craftsmen, it’s difficult to give power but also keep the level requirement down.” Lucky shrugged “I’m not a gunsmith so I’m not sure on the nitty gritty stuff, but you could head down to the Arsenal guild later if you’re that interested.”
