And for some reason, not knowing that bothered him even though he had no idea why it would. He had other things – bigger things – to worry about than whether or not Beth Greene's smile was genuine.

With her sister away at school, Beth has to put her own dreams on hold and try and pick up the pieces.

Set after "Too Far Gone," Daryl and Beth are on the run, fighting to survive and fighting to find the others. But they find that they could never have imagined the obstacles they would face; obstacles that will test their faith and humanity, as well as themselves.

Set after season 4, episode 13 "Alone." Beth was kidnapped, but she has managed to escape her captors. How has this ordeal changed her? How will she deal with the aftermath of her abduction and surviving on her own?

The prison has fallen. Daryl and Beth have been forced together to stay alive. Being alone in such close proximity leads to moments between the pair that before now they'd never have imagined could occur. Daryl was the emotionally damaged bad-ass, never much caring if he lived from one day to the next. Beth was the angel who came into his life to save him from everything he needed saving from, most of all himself and his self-destructive habits.
