Grant Ward had a chance to run, to escape with HYDRA when they tried to rescue him but he stayed. He fought HYDRA, saved agents who beat him for fun and stayed beside the girl who he'd betrayed and lost. When asked why, he only stated "somethings are more important than freedom." And she is, more important than his own freedom but is she also his chance at redemption?

The price of betrayal is high, but the price of wrong presumptions might be higher, and no one is too mighty to fall. Ward and the team struggle with the consequences of their actions shortly after the fall of Centipede. Be warned that the narrative gets very dark at the beginning, and remember that redemption is possible for everyone, if they fight for it long enough.

The team doesn't trust Ward, but they need him. How else are they going to find out what Skye really is? (Not to mention hunting down Raina and Quinn and Hydra.) If Ward is going to be any use at all, there's something dark in him that he has to understand, has to dig out. They don't trust Ward. He doesn't trust himself. How I want Season 2 of Agents of SHIELD to go.

In his dreams Grant Ward is happy. There is no HYDRA, just him and a girl named Skye. But reality is different, all anyone ever asks him about is HYDRA and the girl named Skye is nowhere to be seen.

He was a black op specialist, a new Level Seven recruit. She was a hacker, a member of the Rising Tide. No two people could see the world more differently then they did. She was everything he had worked against... But when they are forced to work together, they don't make such a bad team.

When you come from hell, it's hard to believe you deserve anything better. And when you've carried secrets alone for so long, it's damn near impossible to believe that there's anyone out there who could share your burden. The team's journey, from Ward's perspective. I believe in Grant Ward, and I believe there is hope at the end of the story.

Sequel to the season Finale and last part in my post-episodes series. The team struggles to find a way to work in their current condition. Skye has to bring him back to save Coulson, but Grant is determined to protect her from the monsters, even if he has to protect her from himself, or her team. Skyeward.
