Isolation: one of the most detrimental things to the human psyche, and something that Shinji Ikari has known since he was five years old. How ironic that such a thing might bring he and another being closer than he ever dared to dream. At 20 years old, he's asked to complete the work of his father: saving the human race.

Shinji, alone in a world of his own making, save for a ghost his mind has conjured to torment him, realizes too late that this isn't what he wanted. Now, offered a second chance by an Angel from a different dimension, will he be able to forget his old world and forge a new path? Can the Third Child avoid the mistakes of the past? Or even now, in a new world, will the past follow?

Shinji and Asuka learn about themselves and fall in love, causing massive ramifications. A remake of the late 94Saturn's quintessential ShinjixAsuka story, it is part tribute and part experiment, taking the structure and plot of the original wacky shipping story while attempting to maintain series-true characterization.
