Mandy thought she was a Teacher, until Life pointed out to her that she is actually a writer. As her Cats, Kids and Partner approved, she decided to agree with Life.
Currently she is working under the pen names of "Kira Morgana" on a five book Fantasy Novella Series, as well as a number of other projects, including a Children’s Rhyming Story Series collaboration with Maria K; and as “A.E. Churchyard” on Science Fiction and Horror As If that weren't enough, she volunteers at a local Guide Troop.

She does all this from a body in South Wales, UK. Where her mind is, she hasn't yet worked out, but she has got a pretty good idea of what kind of world it is...

Okay, that's the official bio out of the way.

Just as a warning, I'm a complete Fantasy and SF Geek. You'll find various influences popping up in my works and you could even say that "The Tower and The Eye" (My published Sword & Sorcery series) is a a fanfiction of sorts. It was originally a solemn bow in the direction of a number of RPG style games and books such as Overlord, Dungeon Keeper, Dungeons & Dragons, White Wolf etc, etc.

Before I published it however, I had to take those overt references out, so the world of Quargard was born...

That's where my pen name comes from by the way - Aracana means Queen in one of the languages of that world.

My favourite TV shows (ie: the ones that I get excited about watching) are: Dr. Who, FireFly, Stargate, Castle and NCIS.

My favourite Movies are: Stardust, Serenity, Star Wars, Stargate, The Fifth Element, Labyrinth, Brave, Tangled, Avatar, I am Legend, I Robot... the list goes on for a long time and I'll not bore you with them.

My favourite books are myriad and it's actually easier to list authors than individual books: Sir Terry Pratchett, Anne McCaffrey, Piers Anthony, GRR Martin, Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Gail Garriger, Terry Brooks, Karin Slaughter, Kate Elliott, John Booth, MJ Heiser, Raven Dane, Ian Woodhead, Christine Sutton, Diane Wynne Jones, Monica Hughes, Rick Riordan... and again the list goes on!

I don't really play Video Games, but the ones that I like to play are: Dungeon Keeper, Overlord, Black & White, Populous, The Sims, Sim City... see the pattern? Yes, I adore God games / Sim Games / Worldbuilding games...

My music taste is eclectic. I like everything from Grieg and Beethoven through Phillip Glass and Hang Hedge Playing Monkeys through Anastasia, Shakira and Girls Aloud to Audioslave, Iron Maiden, Nickelback and QOTSA... and more. There's very little music I don't like.

Right then. That's all you need to know about me (and probably a few things that you didn't want to know) so I'm off to do what I do best - write.
