Hey there. If you're here because you've read my earliest stories, that's awesome (even though they're old and kind of cheesy). It's been a while since I first joined this site--over eleven years, in fact. In that time, I've completed four years of college, gotten married, moved, had three jobs, had a baby, and learned so much about God, love, life, and stories.

If I could sum up the most important thing I've learned during that decade, it would be captured in this quote:

It's scandalous in many Christian circles to say this, but I mean it. Or, if you did somehow think that, you'd be deluding yourself...You tried the moral thing, you tried making promises, you tried all that, but you keep blowing it, and you always will. So give up... And, oh, by the way, once you've done that, and realized that God hasn't left you, isn't angry with you, isn't wanting to punch you in the mouth, you might actually start to fall in love with Him. My current story, "Wherever You Go," is a series of missing scenes from the Heartland books (with a bit of stuff from the TV show thrown in). The title comes from a song by Audrey Assad.
