 Author has written 9 stories for RWBY, Highschool of the Dead, Monster Hunter, and Dungeons and Dragons. The Beginning of a Story Hello there! My name is CJ, and I am an avid reader of both fantasy and romance novels. Along with reading, I watch a variety of anime and other movies. FanFiction has provided me with the simple internet tools to publish and share my stories with everyone else! After all, my dad told me that if I don't write my ideas down, I'll eventually lose them. Every story begins with a premature idea. In order to create a masterpiece, the author must devote time and effort into their idea. This principle applies to anyone who is designing a game, story, application, etc. FanFiction has let me expand my hobby, what about you? Are you here to read? Or would you like to write a story of your own? How to begin an Story 1. Start with an outline. If you rely on yourself to memorize story elements, you may not be in the right state of mind to write an epic climax or juicy exposition. Create an outline so you have a general idea of what you will be including in your story! Determine things like the genre, rating, and other details before writing the story so you know what your guidelines are. 2. Edit effectively and often. Even my first story still had a few run-on sentences and typos. Even if you publish a new chapter for your story here on FanFiction, you can always grab the original document and edit those out. The beauty of FanFiction's system lets you edit anything in a story, even after it's been published. 3. Put your story out there! Everyone may want to get views, followers, and favorites, but the real commodity to authors is reviews. Reviews let you reflect and think about how to improve your writing. In order to get reviews, let your friends and family know about your story! Create some cards and posters to hand out! Just use your imagination!
