Let's face it: this series left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, but that doesn't make it ALL bad. The House of Night plays with quite a few interesting concepts that, in the right hands, could make for a good story. The first book will mostly follow the source material as much as possible, while making essential changes, but after that? Who knows?
