A year after Kuvira's defeat, Korra and Asami have deepened their relationship as peace reigns in Republic City. But everything changes when a face from Asami's past returns, bringing with him a terrible specter from the Spirit World. Now Korra must fight to preserve the balance with the Spirit World while Asami confronts the truth behind a painful childhood memory.

Korra and her friends have countless new adventures ahead of themselves still, but this is an enemy unlike any they have ever faced before. With the whole world thrown into disarray the Avatar may not be enough to tackle this new threat. She will have to rely on her friends more than ever, and they will have to rely on each other. A complete Book 5 story following Korra and Asami from the final and beyond as the couple navigate through their new relationship whilst also dealing with rising anti-spirit tension at home and considerable political instability in the rest of the Four Nations as Korra and Asami are tested more than ever before. After Zaheer wrecks Korra, Asami steps in to offer whatever support she can. Intended to fill in a few gaps from the end of Season 3, to the finale of season 4.

Korra and Asami go to tell Korra's parents about their relationship. But things don't go as planned. Asami is plagued by her own insecurities and fears. Can an old friend with a unique understanding of what it means to love the Avatar help Asami conquer her fears?

Taking place after the conclusion of season 4 and the defeat of Kuvira, this story follows Asami Sato and Avatar Korra's interactions with one another and their attempts to stabilize their respective and combined lives. Told primarily through Asami's perspective with the aid of several flashbacks. Written before the series finale, resulting in a few canon inconsistencies.
