![]() Author has written 2 stories for D N Angel. VERY IMPORTANT: okay, so, I've been rather slow in updating my "Lost Complex" and for that I'm teribly sorry for those who have been waiting for chapter 11. It's just recently I've been trying to juggle a lot of stuff at home and school. It's all rather confusing, so having a writers block is not the other thing I wanted. But there is hope~! I have an account on LiveJournal where I update every single day, unless I can't get on the computer for some strange reason. But, if you guys have any comments, questions, or just want to read something on any story I'm writing, just check out my LiveJournal HERE! I'll try my hardest to update my story as soon as I can, but meanwhile, LiveJournal will have to do, ne? "Creativity is a drug I simply cannot live without." /A/B/O/U/T//M/E/ First of all, I would like to say that my real name is Carmen, although I wish it were Leiko. Simply because Leiko is Japanese for "arrogant" which I sometimes am. But I also like my name because it means "song" in Latin. Cool, ne? Either way, by now, you should be able to tell that I'm a girl, and there's nothing that I hate about being a girl, well maybe other than the fact that there are very few female brass players in the world and the fact that we have periods, but otherwise I'm not complaining. "A man can sleep around, no questions asked, but if a woman makes nineteen or twenty mistakes she's a tramp." Well, Joan Rivers does make a valid point there. And that is actually the main reason that I might not like being a woman. Men, as bad as it may seem, can go around, have sex, come back, and have sex with their wife and it doesn't make much of a point in divorce court because he was "not satisfied at home." Oh, the things men will say just to be able to sleep around. On the other hand, if the woman is the one that is sleeping around they call her a prostitute and they must divorce because she was sleeping around, though she might also be one that is, as men would say, "not satisfied at home." Also, I'd like to say that sometimes I may go on random rants, but that's because I have a lot to say about something. It could be anything--just ask my friends, for they have all experienced my random rants since day one. But they also argue with me about a lot of things and that's something that I love to do, argue. I mean, I put up fights and stick to my guns and I win when I'm arguing with them. It's fun. Seriously! Let's see. Physically I'm around 5'2", but I'm happy with my height. My weight is my secret, which is not a way for covering me if I'm fat or anorexic, its just that I do not want to share my weight with you people! I have short, wavy, black hair and black eyes. Oh, yes, and I'm fourteen. I guess that's it for that. "I have lost confidence in myself, I have the universe against me." Name(s): Carmen, Leiko(here), Annabelle(french class) /W/R/I/T/I/N/G/ "Literature is an occupation in which you have to keep proving your talent to people who have none." Rather true, I believe, in that writing you have to show the people, continuously, that you have talent. If it were any other job, you would be able to slack off a little bit and still keep the job if you quickly pick up the pace. Unlike that, in writing you either get better or you lose your credibility. Sad isn't it? Too bad that I want to become one. "Books to the ceiling, I found that rather cute! It's sort of true with me and my obsession with many types of books, especially Gravitation. I have about five books checked out from the library and I've read them all probably a dozen times yet I don't want to return them because they are too damn awesome. And sometimes i have a lot of books that I haven't read more than a page and I want to read. Those books are on my shelf waiting for my attention. Of course I will read them, but I just don't find the time to read them. I think that when I'm old and have a beard is when I finish reading them. (But I'm a girl so I won't have a beard! heh-heh.) "Any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a novel is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae." I strongly believe that constructive criticism is good for writers, you know, so that they could get better at writing. But when you flame them over simple mistakes (like incorrect grammar, forgetting to spell check, or something petty like that) then i think that you shouldn't have even said anything. I mean, everyone uses grammar wrong one time or another, or you might just accidentally forget to press that SPELL CHECK button before uploading the story, but who really cares. Sure, those are careless mistakes, but come one, just grow up! Nobody's the perfect writer on here, because if they were than i doubt they would waste their time on FanFiction.net anyways. Also, when you review a person, if you are totally harsh, saying that it was poor writing without giving any reason other than "it was just plain bad" than you're a waste of time. It's not their fault that they can't meet your standards. If you want to change everyone into writing the way you think is right, than you're the one that is "just plain bad." I sometimes do get annoyed reading some of the stories whose format is screwed up and all you see are giant paragraphs, as well as little spelling and grammar mistakes, but i just sigh, nod, and continue reading it. So i say, either learn to do that or just stop and don't read their work again. It's that simple. /M/U/S/I/C/ Fist of all I'd like to say that music, much like literature, is something my life revolves around. Listening to music is bliss, playing it is like expressing your love, and singing it is like sharing your being with people all around the world in a deep and profound way that is inexplainable. "An intellectual snob is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of The Lone Ranger." I listen to music daily, and if I do not then I go crazy and faint. I love to listen and play music. Like I said, it is my lifeline. Take it away and I am dead. "After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." Music, very much like my life, is not explainable and stuff. See? Even I can't explain it. Funny, ne? Either way, my favorite song at the moment is "Taiyou" by Bite The Lung, an awesome Japanese band. It's also known as a theme song for Yu-Gi-Oh! Gx and is way better than the English one, which most Japanese songs are. I wish that there were more songs like "Taiyou" because it's really beautiful. Here are a few links to my favorite songs (They are lyrics, not downloads. If you want downloads for these songs try Gendou's Anime Music): Rakuen~Fanatic~ - D.N.Angel Currently I have gotten more interested in JRock. My favorite bands are Dir en Grey, the GazettE, Alice Nine and Maximum the Hormone. They are really cool, but if you read the lyrics for Dir en Grey, you'd be a little creeped out. But I also am rather obsessed with T.M. Revolution, Gackt and Miyavi! Kami-sama, they're so hot! (fangirl squeal) if you haven't listened to them, you absolutely must! They are really good, all 7 of them. Seriously! If you don't, then I'm gonna hunt you down and stalk you/blackmail you 'till you do. But, if you don't check those out, make sure you at least look at SID. Their PV "Otegami" is so awesome! The bass player, Aki, is so...oh, I can't even begin to describe him! Just watch! /A/N/I/M/E/ f.a.v.o.r.i.t.e.s. /M/Y//Q/U/O/T/E/S/ Me: "And then...and then...and then..." pause "I forgot!" Justy: laughing "Wait..." pauses "Oh!" laughs louder Joe: "I'm not GAY!" Joe: "Carmen is from that .1 percent of children born." Me: "I think I gained weight!" /M/Y//B/A/N/N/E/R/S/ Lost Complex Banner (Satoshi, Krad, Angel, Miyako) -- If They Were Gay Banner (Dark and Krad) -- /S/T/O/R/I/E/S/ Lost Complex (officially on hiatus. sorry.) /C/O/M/I/N/G//S/O/O/N/ --None-- /C/O/M/P/L/E/T/E/D//W/O/R/K/S/ If They Were Gay |
