The hat seemed to take a long time before it said, “Gryffindor,” albeit a bit weakly.

”Ha, fork it over, Draco.” Harry said triumphantly as Daphne Greengrass became a Slytherin along with Gregory Goyle.

“Double or nothing says that hat is on my head for less then five seconds before it calls me a Slytherin.” Draco said as Neville Longbottom became a Gryffindor and Ernest MacMillan became a Hufflepuff.

“Malfoy, Draco.” McGonagall called.

Draco hesitated and looked at Harry. “Well.” He said.

Draco strode up to the hat and McGonagall placed it on his head.
