![]() Author has written 7 stories for Street Fighter, Samurai Showdown, Tekken, and Soul Calibur. Hey to all the other fighting game otaku's out there! As a kid, I used to love going to the arcades and watching all the guys play Street Fighter, because (being a girl) I sucked at it. Even now, I lose the skin off my thumb every few days trying vainly to lay down the neural pathways in my cerebellum that will allow me to utilize more than two fingers on the control pad, but to no avail (wrings her hands in despair). So of course now I live out my fantasies of being a Street Fighter goddess by playing on the training mode of Capcom vs SNK. Chun Li is the best and when I went as her for halloween EVERYONE knew who I was - it was great - all those kids I watched playing video games had grown up, but they all remembered their first video game sweetheart and they all wanted a picture. Yatai! So since I can't have a Ryu of my own, I live vicariously through the medium of the humble fanfiction. I hope you all have as much fun reading it as I had writing it and please let me know what you think. We writers live for feedback from our readers. I think it's pretty obvious I'm heavily influenced by anime, manga and video games (Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Samurai Shodown, King of Fighters). I also am a very big Korean history buff so it's nice that all these games and anime allow me a tie in to write about my country's past. _ 6.13.09: I play way too much SoulCalibur and I still can't play above the normal difficulty setting. wrings her hands in frustration |
