I never thought that I would end up this way...trapped between two worlds, and never really know which one is real. Trapped between two hearts. I loved him once but it made me helpless. During the first age, when Beleriand itself stands on the brink of destruction and Doriath falls from the height of glory to begin its long decline, Celeborn, a Sindarin prince as quick to wisdom as he is to anger, meets Artanis, a Noldorin princess plagued by a dark secret, and they soon find themselves plunged into a world of intrigue, lies, and mystery as ties grow turbulent.

Elwing was not the first Sindarin woman to abandon her children. A story about Celeborn's mother, inspired by the Legendarium Ladies Textual Ghosts, women who exist but never appear in Tolkien's works.

The story begins before the events of An Unexpected Journey. Hana, after leaving her adopted home, meets Thorin by chance while traveling alone. He speaks gibberish... or so the doctors think; they don't know Old Quenya after all. When he meets Maka Smith, speech therapist and oath-bound kinslayer, an unlikely mission from the Valar forces them to work together… whether they like it or not.

This story tells the old tale of a girl who thought she would never fall in love and could never be loved. In the end, she was only half right. She fell in love, but still couldn't be loved, because the golden elf-lord loved another. Right?

King Finwë is worried about Fëanor, and enlists the aid of Rúmil, a scholar, to try and help him understand his son.

Thorin Oakenshield had promised to hang a Thief in the Westlands once; a creature whose spirit was all that he despised in a minded thing. Instead he had grown to love her, as he did his Company. 'A man who honours his oaths as he chooses fruit from the vine is no man at all.' His forefathers would surely damn him. 'All my vows lie before me, filled of lies and empty honour.'

This is a little sad side story of my favorite sons of Feanor. It takes place after the 3rd kinslaying and before and during the war of wrath. OC and Silmarillion characters. Changed rating to M because chapter 8 and beyond gets a little racy and for violence and language.

I decided to write a silly version of the Silmarillion to help me to better understand what the heck happens in this book. As I wrote, I did not take it seriously at all. I may add more chapters as I reread the Silmarillion. Rated T for my liberal use of language.

A young Thorin chances across a young elven girl different from any other of her kin. The two grow up separate from one another and reunite years later to rekindle their friendship. Now as the prophecy to return to the mountain has come to pass, she joins Thorin and a company of others as they journey to retake their home from Smaug the Terrible.

Ulmo be thanked, the Noldorin refugees have finally found a leader. He has the most ridiculous name, though: Ereinion. "The Scion of Kings". And where did he come from, anyway? Cirdan attempts to find out.

(Or, One Flew Over the Halls of Mandos) The Silmarillion is so full of heartbreaking, wasteful, tragic deaths that it sometimes seems as if the not-tragically-deadly parts are there only to give the readers a little breather. I expect that everyone has a death or two that they find particularly distressing. Amarië certainly does. But at least she can do something about it...

Silmë loved and followed Maedhros from the peace of Valinor to his fiery end. Now Galadriel, her cousin and friend, reads her memories; the exile and the downfall of the Noldorin Elves live again through the story of this doomed love. MEFA 2010 NOMINEE
