Beth was stolen from him. Daryl couldn't save her then. In a broken world where you only have what you can protect, can Daryl find what was taken from him? But to live. Fifty four days before Beth starts coughing and Daryl knows that he'll do anything to get them another fifty four days together.

REPOST-move to new account. "Do you want her?" he asked his brother but he knew the answer. Beth meets Daryl & Merle as the ZA begins, Daryl shows interest, so Merle takes her with them. Most would see it as abduction, he saw it as keeping her safe, and keeping his brother happy. Begins before Epis1, then runs parallel to canon through the episodes. Beth/Daryl, Merle/Carol later.

Before didn't matter anymore. All that counted was that they were together. Just two opposite souls standing at the edge of the world, holding hands and maybe hoping for more.

A few months into their stay in Alexandria, Glenn finds Daryl on watch and gives him an unexpected gift. Feeling alive for the first time since Grady, he returns to the Greene family farm to learn more about the woman he loved and to try to figure out how he can possibly live without her.

He's on his dream trip, heading to Sturgis for the big motorcycle rally. How could he know when he stopped in that small western town along the way it was going to change his life forever. Daryl and Beth / Bethyl AU
