He would need to pull out of his dive at just the right moment to avoid a fatal collision with the earth. Now! Therrin flexed his chest and shoulder muscles, and his wings snapped open. But they did not slow his fall. With a pang of dread, he turned his head to look, and his wings were gone. He was about to die, and all he could do was watch as the earth loomed closer.
