Midnight is what they called me.

A high ranking commander saluted me, thought I thought that I wasn't worth the time. If this is what has to happen, then so be it. I want to become a State Alchemist to help people, sort of a naive dream though. Not everyone will and can be saved, that’s what I've come to learn. I grasped his hand, knowing the contract that I signed (in what almost seems like blood now) and the things I've told them will forever mark me as a person. An Alchemist. "Kid, you'll make a fine State Alchemist. Midnight," he said confidently. I smiled and walked out of the room with just as much confidence as the ranking man that gave me my title. 'Military life here I come,' I said to myself. I felt those words melt like candy in my mouth and happily ran out of the building. Oh how foolish I was. I saw President King Bradley on the way out, my heart almost stopped when I thought of working under such a great man. It was also a happy moment, though I don't think of it that way now. It only brings me pain to know that I have become something the military manipulated so . . . cruelly. I ran out to the woman of my dreams and embraced her, praising the day and praising my life. "So Mars, did you make it?" She excitedly asked. "Of course I did!"

After that. . . It just when down hill.

This is my contract, my blood sealed will that I have become a monster to the world around me. Forever marked as such, I am the Midnight Alchemist.

His name is Markus Porter. He is the Midnight Alchemist, an original character of my own creation. The Midnight Alchemist is a brilliant alchemist, no doubt about it. This is when he makes the circle that turned him into a chimera (will be posted at a later time DDD) This is my first .. . . series based. .. . um. .. .
