![]() Author has written 5 stories for Warriors, Legend of Zelda, Disney, and Fate/stay night. After many, MANY moons, I have officially decided to give this fanfiction thing a try again, and to actually work at being good at it! So, this is Moonscar's return from the twilight of his life, and his journey toward the dawn as he pursues that wonderful Dusk on the horizon! Now, when first I began this account, I was VERY inexperienced and also VERY non-committal to my own ideas and writings; however, I don't intend to remove previous works, or to continue them. They happened, and stay they shall. Read them if you will, or ignore them. Hopefully, I will be producing works of superior quality with somewhat regular frequency, so, if my earliest works leave a sour taste in your mouth, you can wash that away with my newest pieces! Shameless return speech over, some information about me and my tastes! For myself, I am a recent Northwestern University graduate who dreams of working with books (most likely in translation, as I am a budding polyglot), and I am a total bookworm. Having found myself with a fair amount of free time, I've returned to the idea of writing as a means of expression, connection, and potential development. Hopefully, this venture lasts far longer than it did many years ago. As for my pen name, my alias, Moonscar, is the medicine cat of a fictional Warriors Clan I created years ago with old friends. He is a light gray tom with cold blue eyes, and he has a fierce-looking crescent of a scar across his left eye (though he still has both eyes). His personality was modeled somewhat after Yellowfang and Cinderpelt: he is generally cool and calm, somewhat introverted, but, when provoked, he can be like an adder. He would never actually injure another cat physically, but his tongue can be sharper than his claws. As for tastes, I LOVE the Warriors series! Seriously, I just started rereading them after years of watching them come out while I was drowning in college studies (I'm not an English major or Literature major, so don't expect that level of work just yet), and the old fire has been rekindled with all the ferocity with which it once roared! You may find me occasionally uploading a Warriors story, as I have enough ideas swimming around the streams of my mind that RiverClan would be fed for many seasons were they fish; hopefully, I do the Erin Hunters' world and Clans justice with my pen. I also hope to eventually write an origin story for "my Clan," DuskClan, but don't hold me to it (or do; I may need motivators)! My favorite character is hands-down Jayfeather. In spite of his blindness, he perseveres as a cat of prophecy and as medicine cat to serve his Clan and many others in ways other cats could never manage, and I absolutely love how he does it all with a personality that reminds one of the beloved Yellowfang. I also am infatuated with the Legend of Zelda, though I doubt you will be reading much from me in the way of fanfiction about my favorite hero, Link. I love the series, but it is one in which I find the best stories are told through the format of RPG, with the beloved silent hero that draws us in. I can point you to good fanfics, but I will probably not produce any. And I cannot forget one of my favorite anime: Fate/Stay Night. I expect that I'll be writing a fair amount from the Fate universe (or the Nasuverse), as the premise of the Holy Grail War offers so many wonderful opportunities to draw many famous characters together into situations and battles that are the stuff of legends! I hope to produce many crossover works set in this world as well, as I've always wondered what it might be like to have my favorite warriors of different worlds meet on a battlefield in a fight to the death, all for the sake of an accursed wish. (If you haven't delved into Fate/Stay Night, but intend to, skip to the next paragraph immediately, as I'm about to spoil a huge plot point!) My favorite character from the Fate series is definitely Archer EMIYA, because, though I cannot accept or understand his plans to eliminate his younger self in the fifth War (honestly, did he not consider the paradox he would create?), I absolutely admire the drive that molded him, a seemingly incapable magus, into a being capable of combating legends, using copies of their own weapons that he constructed no less! As I'm producing Fate fanfics, if you wish to see a certain legend or character feature, feel free to shoot me a message, and I'll consider it! Anyway, that should be enough to introduce myself! I hope you enjoy my writings, and, always, feel free to leave me criticism (but, please, keep it constructive; if you come flaming at me, I will respond accordingly)! -Moonscar, medicine cat of DuskClan |
