So I'm pretty new to the whole fanfiction scene. For years I had heard about fanfiction but never had any interest in it. I'd heard rumors that most of them were poorly written and it just wasn't worth the time. I was an English nerd (you know those annoying types that are always correcting how people speak) and what actually changed my mind was overhearing a conversation between my college English Teacher and a student I knew had good taste in literature. Basically they were discussing if he could write an essay about a fanfiction story he had read. My professor said yes and that she knew that there were surprisingly good fanfiction stories. That was the beginning of the end for me and here I am. Likes: Reading (obviously,) Movies (the more explosions the better,) writing, cooking Dislikes: Poor grammar, irresponsible people, liars, Slash/Yuri/threesomes/harems. I have no interest in reading/writing about those unnatural relationships. if people call me a bigot over my views, well, I'll take it as a compliment, because in my beliefs if you're pissing people off for your morals then your doing something right. |
