![]() Author has written 1 story for Elder Scroll series. I have only become an avid gamer within the last few years. One day I walked into my teenager's room, and he's sitting there playing this fascinating game called "Assassin's Creed", only what I'm seeing on the television screen doesn't look like any game I've ever seen before. The graphics for that day and time, were phenomenal. On top of all that, my son was making this character jump, and leap, and perform other inhuman feats only possible in Hollywood. Needless to say,(but I will anyway), I was hooked, and unsurprisingly, the next Christmas, I received my very own PS-3, and a plea from my son to not visit his room so much. Many people may scoff at adults playing games, but it's just a hobby. My brother's hobbies are hunting and fishing. I have other friends who work on and build cars. Still other friends ride motorcycles. Others like to gamble and play poker. They all claim that it's just their entertainment dollars being utilized. It's how they relax and have fun. That's cool. All of the above are enjoyable hobbies for sure, but they are also very expensive. Call me cheap if you want, but I've never really felt that comfortable blowing a lot of cash on my entertainment budget. I have several hobbies in which I participate, and not all of them equally, but I think all of them are affordable. I'm a reader, collector, gamer, and writer. I haven't written anything since graduate school, but I still consider myself to be a writer, and will hopefully be starting my own FanFiction in the very near future. Which brings up my gaming. Once again, my son introduced me to "Oblivion" and "Skyrim", which my FanFiction will be based upon. Yes, I know. Your probably saying to yourself, "Don't we have enough of those already?" Well maybe, but I like to think mine might just have a little bit of a different spin. After all, I'll bet your Dragonborn doesn't look or act like my Dragonborn. We shall see. |
