![]() Author has written 3 stories for DC Superheroes, David Eddings, and Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew. Not much to say, other than I've always loved writing. I have a diverse set of interests as far as reading fan fiction goes, and I hope to expand writing into more of those areas as well. I've started writing original material over the last couple of years. Among my fan interests: David Eddings, Lord of the Rings, JLA (esp. Wonder Woman/Batman), Harry Potter, Jane Austen (Pride & Prejudice), Joss Weadon's "Firefly", Battlestar Galactica (2003), X-men (Wolverine/Storm paring), fiction set in classical Greece and Rome, and Pirates of the Carribean. For those here that also read the JLAnimated.com forum, I'm registered there as MightyAphrodite. I registered at JLAuniverse.com under the same username on 12/16/03. Personally, I find some of the rules instituted here somewhat draconian, but it's their way of trying to appear legitimate to a society that can stand any discussion of sex and sexuality outside of the euphemism, quite funny as this effort toward legitimacy is benefits a repository for fan interpretations of someone else's work. It's also, of course, their site, and at this point, does anyone really want to reinvent the wheel? As long as a writer doesn't do anything stupid, I think they shouldn't have any problem here. This doesn't mean I don't post any of my more racy fanfiction or original erotica (as well as the general, non-racy original work), but that I've simply found a place for it to go. For that information, please e-mail me directly. The last thing I need is someone to go whining to the site staff because I provided a link to racy literature. Oh, heaven forbid! Ultimately, I plan on setting up a small corner of cyberspace to archive everything that's finished and over a certain number of years past completion. I taught Chinese history in fall 2006, and I began a doctoral candidacy in history September 2007. Hopefully I'll be able to post updates/new chapters on breaks. |
