In a bad mood after being rudely woken up by Hijikata, Sougo goes for a stroll in the park, where he meets a filthy Amanto dog. He insults it, causing it to curse him. The next morning, he wakes up to find that, alas, the curse has come true! Can Sougo get the 'divine punishment' repealed in time, as Kagura almost breaks down worrying about him? Okita Sougo completely loses his memories after a freak accident. All he remembers, though vaguely, is the word 'China'. Meanwhile, Kagura can't help but worry and wait for him. Can they together bring back his memories or will Okita forget her and everyone else forever? Read on to find out!

"Dead men don't talk," continued the man, then stood up and faced the gravestone. "Neither do they eat manju. Which is why I made a promise instead." - Otose might have been old, but she wasn't stupid. What made her trust a man she picked up from the graveyard; who made a silly promise over a few manju? No pairings.

Four times Gintoki was asked if he had children, and one time he said yes.

"I don't need a demon to replace my husband," she says, calm and even. "I know the name of the one who killed him." (Otose doesn't take in the stray she finds behind her husband's grave.)

AU. Kagura and Sougo are roommates and don't quite get along. After Sougo leaves a huge mess for Kagura to clean up she finds a way for him to make it up to her. Romance story with smutty lemon story in later chapters, just because there aren't and never will be enough of these.

He reaches for his sword and his fingers fall through air. Scars fade but are meant to stay, and Gintoki doesn't know how to get by. (Post Joui war, in which Gintoki doesn't have a sword and Otose is more perceptive than she lets on.)

Kagura and Okita Sougo have been rivals since the moment they met. No challenge is too great or too small for them to settle, and none is out of bounds. No request, no matter how ridiculous, catches them by surprise. So when Sougo challenges Kagura to marry him during a drinking game, she accepts, with ALL the strings attached. It's the middle of the night, and the Yorozuya's China girl is standing at the gates of the Shinsengumi demanding a reward for capturing some ruffians and practically bleeding to death. Okita is annoyed. Tried to keep it as in-character and canon as possible, so only romance if you squint! One-shot.

Both Kagura and Gintoki dislike rain, but there are many ways to get over bad memories. (In which Gintoki and Kagura find solstice in the company of the Yorozuya.)

Kagura is leaving; she announces this in the living room, and as the air whooshes from your lungs and your heart stops in your chest you pretend that you don't care. (Kagura is taking Sadaharu and leaving the Yorozuya to travel with her father. Fools travel in groups, through, and in the Yorozuya they can never be just two.)

You force yourself to take in a breath and find that it comes out as a gasp, too damn close to a sob. Fire paints the sky dark red and suddenly all you can think is that you're drowning. (Gintoki, the Joui war, death and drowning.)

I'll be here for you. I will hold you when you cry. (Ryner and Ferris, and the times when each of them just needed the other there.)
