I came late to the Sherlock fandom - only watched the series on Netflix in the summer of 2017. Watching Sherlock and the unresolved relationship between Sherlock and Molly, inspired me to write.

I ship Sherlolly. They are and will always be my OTP. This fandom is steadily declining due to lack of new source material. Help to keep it alive with your support of its authors, by following, favouriting and reviewing our stories.

About me

I am an Aussie American, meaning I was born and raised in Australia, but I met and married an American and moved to the USA.

I’ve been in America for many years, but I still talk like an Aussie. Most people when they try to guess my accent think English first.

I am legally blind. That means I make mistakes, loads of them, because it is difficult for me to see what I am writing clearly. I try to correct chapters before publishing with multiple proofreads, but sometimes things slip through. Feel free to let me know if you find errors in my writing.

My Christian beliefs:

I believe everyone has a right to their own opinion; it is called free will. God is the judge, not me. I hope my writing will point you towards God and the Bible so that you can seek its truth for yourself.

In the words of C. S. Lewis, from the book, "Mere Christianity,"

Pleasure in being praised is not pride...the saved souls to whom Christ says, "well done," are pleased and ought to be. For here the pleasure lies not in what you are, but in the fact that you have pleased someone you wanted and rightly wanted to please."

So, I will unashamedly continue to ask for feedback, because I want to know that I have pleased my readers by what I write. There is no such thing as an expiration date for writing a review of a story. Even if a story is complete, reviews will always be welcome, and I also respond to all reviews.

1 Thessalonians1 5:11-12 says: Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. (12) Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord...

It has been brought to my attention by someone who used to read my stories, that I am not acting in a Christian manner in advocating sex outside of marriage, due to the content of a handful of my dream stories. I wish to make this quite clear. I do believe that sex is something special and wonderful which should be kept within the covenant of marriage. However, I am also mindful that we are all sinners who make mistakes. So, while I believe in the sanctity of marriage and abstinence outside of it, I have no right to sit in judgment upon those who do not share my beliefs, or for Christians who, Heaven forbid, fail to uphold those values. Every Christian is as susceptible as a non-Christian when it comes to doing something outside of God's will, and if I wrote only stories of "perfection" within a Christian relationship, I would not be writing realistic stories, I would be writing fairytales.

NEW NOTE: I am adding this to my profile in response to a private message I received where the person felt concern about my story content as a professing Christian and that I am condoning practices that go against what the Bible teaches for us as Christians, in particular, the issue of living together before marriage and pre-marital sex, especially in the context of my Molly also being a professing Christian.

Although my initial story has Sherlock and Molly living together before marriage, this is not something I personally advocate or consider right in the eyes of God. For the premise of the story, Molly agrees to move in with Sherlock when he wants to protect her. At the time he is also not yet a Christian.

Choosing to live together before marriage as a Christian is a slippery slope which can have consequences, especially in regard to giving into the temptation for sexual intimacy. The struggles that I show between Sherlock and Molly in their desire to be together is intended to make people aware of that. They are human, not perfect, and make choices of a questionable nature, as we all do. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. However, in writing that story, I also wanted to show their commitment to waiting for their wedding night to be intimate, and they succeed – sorry for the spoiler. In effect, they are tempted, yet do not succumb to it.

In some of the dream stories I write, they do not make such good choices. In these instances, Sherlock is not a Christian, so he does not have the same inherent desire to do what is it right in the eyes of God, and Molly does not act like the perfect Christian either.Please understand, these are works of fiction (and dreams which we do not control, so are not even a “real” aspect of what happens in my own little Sherlolly universe). In addition, I make a point in having my “real” Sherlock and Molly discuss the dreams and reiterate that they do not reflect reality. I’m not an evangelist who has gone to theological seminary and I do not consider myself the be-all-and-end-all when it comings to knowing the aBible from cover to cover and understanding it, but I do know what I believe, and I hope my portrayal of the “real” Molly highlights those beliefs accurately.

Whether you are a fellow Christian or not, if you read my stories, I hope you will understand I wish to write stories that resonate with people in a real way, the ways in which Christians too have struggles and sometimes fail to uphold their values as taught in the Bible. If you do not agree with my methods, that is totally fine and you do not need to read my work. This is just the way in which I believe I have been led to share my faith. I will not write stories of perfection in the Christian walk because it does not exist.

About my writing

As I have passed my first anniversary on this site, I must tell you, I am not the average Sherlolly writer. I am constantly trying to improve my writing, going as far as to revise earlier works as I have time.

My portrayal of Sherlock and Molly is also non-traditional in the sense that I tend to add spiritual elements to many of my stories. As far as I know, I am the only author to portray them as a Christian couple or to write Christian stories about them. I am also unique in that my stories stem from a single Sherlolly universe. Any deviation from it takes place as a dream experienced by either Sherlock or Molly.

I have struggled for some time over whether as a Christian writer it is appropriate to write sex scenes. I have researched it to a point where I feel comfortable that it is appropriate in certain circumstances (case in point - their wedding night and honeymoon especially). If you read my M-rated stories, they will contain those things, but I do not write them in an explicit way nor a gratuitous one. Sex is not a shameful thing, but something of great beauty when there is love involved (and particularly the celebration of it within the covenant of marriage). That is what I'm trying to show with any of the stories that contain love scenes, which are suggestive and sensual, even steamy at times, but as I said, never explicit. I also do not use profanity in my stories. Neither Sherlock nor Molly uses profanity in the series, so I feel it would be out-of-character for them to use it in my stories, (aside from mild stuff like damn/damned, bloody hell).

I will tell you that while I do not write explicit love scenes, I do write explicit Christian scenes. In the stories where I speak about God in general terms, and the conversation is more implicit, I do not always tag my story as a spiritual one. However, in the stories I deem as having explicit Christian content, such as direct quotes from the Bible, or talk about Molly's belief and faith, and have themes of repentance and forgiveness, they are labeled that way so that the reader is aware of that content. I am not ashamed of my faith, I will profess it publicly, knowing that it means a lot of people will steer clear of my writing. No, I will never be popular in the way some writers are, but I know in my heart that my gift for writing is a blessing from God that should be shared, whether others wish to read it or not. I can say without pride that I know I write well and with conviction, but that it is to God I ascribe the glory for giving me this gift at this point in my life.

And now, onto other things.

My version of Sherlock and Molly is more innocent than most. When they explore intimacy, it is from that same innocent standpoint, and the wonder that goes along with it. Neither of them has experienced sexual intimacy with anyone else.

I write realistic fiction, meaning I do a lot of research to make my stories as true-to-life as possible.

I must make mention of one reader, Ashblood, who has been a constant source of help for me in ensuring that my storytelling is accurate from a British standpoint. The one exception to this accuracy is my Victorian style dream premise period romances, because historical accuracy is much harder to authenticate. I use the Barbara Caartland genre for these, and as such, may have inaccuracies because I loosely base mine on her style, which may itself not be completely accurate.

Why do I portray my "real" Sherlock and Molly post TFP as a loving, devoted, romantic, sensitive and emotionally stable couple? Because my Sherlock's emotional breakthrough and conversion to Christianity changes his life. Becoming a Christian is life-changing. I would love to see other writers take up the challenge of writing a faith-based story for this couple.

I would like to recommend the writing of a fellow author named 16magnolias. I have never seen a better explanation for the scenes in between canon for season four. She describes things so well that you feel like they were written for the show. Check out her work!

Some readers have requested a chronological order for my stories, because they are contained within one universe, unlike other authors (Sorry, but that's just my preference to write that way). One other note before I list the titles - My Sherlock and Molly are virgins until their wedding night. This same premise of them never being intimate with anyone else remains the same even in the dream stories. In the dreams, if the story continues far enough, sometimes they wait for their wedding night, sometimes they don't. In every case they are with no other partners. Yeah, I know, I'm kind of an incurable romantic that way, just like my Molly.
