Leaving one's family and destiny isn't an easy thing to do, but Sonic needs to get away to discover if he's the prince his siblings want him to be, or the hero his heart is telling him he is. Modern AU. Meta-Knight is a street kid with a reputation that makes people stay away. He lives alone and thinks he's going to live out his life as a worthless person. Then, he meets a boy named Kirby. T because some fight scenes, maybe swearing later.

Sonic and his friends journey to an amusement park on an island just off of Coasta Rica. The island is inhabited with genetically-engineered dinosaurs and a special legendary creature. Their trip turns deadly as the dinosaurs escape their paddocks and attack Sonic and his friends. Now they must make it out alive against these prehistoric beasts. What will happen in the very end?

With heavy eyes, Robotnik lifted his head to stare out of his little hole. This once proud city was a grave. All of the cities were graves. In a voice that cracked with remorse, he whispered four words for no one but the ghosts of the city and the wind and himself to hear. "...What have I done?"

A wanderer ever since he became an orphan, Sonic the Hedgehog has been running with the wind by his side for several years now. He had believed he needed no more than his pair of feet and freedom to do as he pleased, but a certain group of people may be able to change his mind. / Younger!Boom Sonic the Hedgehog universe, mainly TV series canon with a bit of Rise of Lyric.
