Hey everyone! I'm Courtney, and whilst I have been reading fanfiction off and on for about 6 years now, I have never actually posted one on here! Watch this space though, as I've just started working on a couple of things that I think will end up getting published on here (fingers crossed!). What else about me... well I started off reading Harry Potter fanfics (didn't everyone?) and at the moment I'm liking fics about The Mortal Instruments series and Ranger's Apprentice series. I'm 19 and at uni studying to be an Early Childhood teacher. I live in Townsville, Australia. Oh, and I'm a chick... well Courtney can be a boys name lol!

I'm really really picky about spelling and grammar (within fics of course :) I myself use txt spk and slang, where appropriate, when reviewing etc.) , as well as the correct spelling of characters names and words unique to a series e.g. Voldemort. I especially don't like it when these errors are repeated, because it means it's not a once off mistake, but it's actually how you think the word is spelled. So, If I give you a review highlighting spelling errors, please don't be mad. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm trying to help you. Because I know that a lot of people will simply close your fic and never look at it again if your literacy is not up to standard.

Soooo... don't misspell Hermione... hopefully everyone knows this by now... It's "Hermi - one" guys, that's how I remember it.

I have just started reading Ranger's Apprentice fics and I'm noticing Evanlyn is frequently misspelled as Evenlyn. Really annoying guys... break it down: E - van - lyn.

So, if you want something new to read, READ MORTAL INSTRUMENTS! You will love it if you can appreciate the intertextuality in it. You will also love it you don't give a f about intertextuality but just want a good read that ticks all the boxes. Are you ready? There's a lot of boxes: Demon Hunters - Check!, Demons (duh! we just had demon hunters lol) - Check!, Vampires - Check!, Werewolves - Check!, Faeries - Check! Witches and Warlocks - Check! Gay characters - check! (if you loved House of Night fluffiness, this is better... more angsty) Evil psychopath whose name starts with V - check! Nearly everyone is a death eater - check! Incest drama - check!, hot Edward/Draco-esque guy (see my avvie) - check!
