Author has written 2 stories for Final Fantasy IX, and Pokémon.

Thanks for coming along. I'll list the normal stuff everyone seems to, but first, a little about me and my current status in life.

Name: Rytir (I'd prefer to avoid my real name... for now)

Birthday: 27th October

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Location: Townsville, Queensland, Australia

I could put any number of excuses here, but I'll just say what's on my mind. After finally unearthing my fanfiction folder, my attention was drawn back to the site. I've reviewed my notes and stories and come to one conclusion... I hate them both. The number of ideas I've noted down for what I should have done has led me to decide upon scrapping my current Final Fantasy IX: Legacy and starting over. And the pokemon... well, that was just an unplanned spontaneous mess. I may come back to that, but don't get your hopes up.

My current plans? Well, after moving back in with my parents, I've now moved... big time. If you've looked at my location, you'll have noticed. I'm starting a new life down in sunny Australia, and f*ck me, it's hot. So, while I'm getting settled into a new life and routine, I've got little time for fanfiction, but I'll spare what I can. Even when all is said and done, you'll be waiting a while. I don't plan on posting anything until I've thoroughly planned out my rewrite and at least written the entirety of Disc 1, and gotten a start on Disc 2.

So, next time you here from me, I should have a new story complete. Until then...

Gaming

I think I spend too much time on games, to the point I think I should cut back... we'll see. This is one of the big drains on my time, but I do so enjoy it.

I prefer console gaming, mostly because I can never afford a new computer for all the new games. As for console preference? I don't have one. I play the Xbox 360 the most, but that's because it has a lot of games I enjoy, and came before the PS3. But I enjoy a few exclusive games on the PS3. The Wii? As long as Nintendo keep up the Zelda games, it'll have a place in my heart.

Now, gaming series, Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy are closely tied. And in those series, Ocarina of Time and XI respectively. I do enjoy a number of other series too, however. Such as; Metroid, Mario, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Devil May Cry. I could go on, but then my profile would likely consist of a huge list of game series.

Standalone games now, I think. Minecraft. I love the simple play style and graphics. The base game got a bit boring after a while, so now I have 5/6 minecraft folders that I swap out, all for different mod sets. The big ones tend to be either Better Than Wolves, Yogbox or Technic Pack. The amount of extra stuff added, I'm always finding new stuff to do. Along the same vein as this, is Terraria. Another simple, block building game, but it loses a dimension and adds a whole host of new stuff, including bosses, more equipment tiers and magic. Choosing between the two is hard, but at present, I prefer minecraft just because of the awesome modding community.

MMOs... meh. I have accounts, and characters in a few, but I play little of them these days. I played World of Warcraft, and do occasionally come back to it. I have accounts in both the EU and American servers. I'm not tied to any in particular, but if you ask, I could probably dig up the character's level and server names. Another, more childish one I play would be Maple Story. I first started playing this within a month or two of it's release, so I was young, and I've played it on and off over the years. I've been dragged back lately by a persistent brother, so I am occasionally online, and surprised to see most of my old online friends still playing.

Anyway, I've rambled enough on this, moving on!

Manga/Animé

I check weekly for updates on about a dozen or so manga, but only about half of them actually update weekly. Besides them, I've read another half dozen or so from beginning to the very end. They took up a lot of my time previously, but these days, it's an hour or so every week. I still very much enjoy them, but I'm content with the ones I read at present, and I'm not looking to get into anymore.

Now, animé, I don't really watch it anymore. I used to spend so much time watching them, it's actually through animé that I began reading manga. I just don't have the time to spare these days. I've got a few ready to watch, but until I get more time, it's unlikely I will.

Books/Authors

Ah, reading, something I'm sure a lot of people on here share in common. I've recently purchased myself a Kindle, so this has recently taken a huge chunk of time. As for preferences, I tend to stick with fantasy.

Specific authors, however... David Gemmell's Drenai Novels. That was the first time I truly began reading. It started with 'The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend' and continued to cover the entirety of the set. From there, I moved onto David Eddings and his series 'The Belgariad' and it's sequel series, 'The Mallorean' and even the prequels. At present, I'm reading through 'The Wheel of Time' by Robert Jordan. After leaving it too long, I had to start over, so I'm about halfway through book 4 (after previously reaching the 7th).

Stories

Final Fantasy IX: Legacy Disc 1 (Currently Scrapped)

The start of an adventure for Sepheris. He joins Zidane and the group for their adventures in the world of Gaia while using abilities he was granted by a mysterious voice referred to as Alex.

(I'll probably update this as I write the story, I can't think of too much without giving stuff away)

Pokémon: Soul Silver Adventures (Currently on Indefinite Hiatus)

Follow the journey of Seph as he travels the regions of Johto and Kanto meeting people and befriending pokémon all the while aiming for the top, and for that? He must face and defeat the elite four, but that's if he can get there. And with the troubles caused by the remnants of team Rocket and no one else standing up to them, that could take a while.

Final Fantasy IX: Legacy - Disc 1 Reset (Currently in the planning stage)

The planned rewrite of my original Legacy story. Probably won't here from me until this is updated.

My Original Characters

FF IX: Legacy

Name: Sepheris "Seph" Cereshen

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Appearance: 5 '10 ", Caucasian, with fairly short strawberry blonde hair. Currently wears a deep blue silk shirt along with a pair of worn leather gloves, a leather wrist guard on his right arm underneath his shirt, a pair of faded green pants held up with a leather belt with a brass clasp, and a pair of worn leather shoes. To top this off, his left arm is petrified up to just below his elbow, but he hides it with his long sleeves and gloves.

Description: Seph is struggling to learn the skills he has been given and to master the art of combat to avoid his death. He struggles between letting the world run it's course and offer assistance or running interference to prevent the tragedy from ever happening. So far, he is still learning the basics of his skills with the voice of Alex providing no help at all, seeming to his own amusement. His biggest asset is his determination, allowing him to keep fighting despite how bad it looks.

Abilities: Impulse

Impulse Blast: A compression of force is stored in his fist. This is then released on contact with the target in a huge burst of explosive wind.

Impulse Burst: Similar to the Impulse Blast, the force is gathered in one of his free hands. The force is then released as a projectile which explodes on contact with anything.

Impulse Wave: He gathers the force in one of his blades instead of his hands and releases the force during a wide swing of his blade, resulting in an arc of force launched forward. Being made of concentrated force, the arc lacks a cutting point and results in a pressure type attack.

Upgrade: The wave can be amplified using black magic captured in the Barrier.

Impulse Barrier: Releasing the built up force in his blade, Seph uses his focus to hold it in the air creating a wall to repel attacks. If the barrier is strong enough to repel a magic attack, it will absorb some of the magic allowing Seph to send it back as his own.

Impulse Jet Stream: Using the explosive power of his force, Seph releases it at key points around his body allowing him to achieve inhuman speeds. The amount of concentration needed to control it and not plough into a wall make it difficult to execute in battle and impossible in one on one situations, not to mention that is completely drains him too.

Break: Like the black magic spell of the same name. By focusing his magic through his left (petrified) arm, Seph can inflict the petrification on others. As he wasn't built to be a mage, constant use of this spell drains Seph.

Trance: Alex (holy power)

He now wears a shorter sleeved shirt, the sleeves just covering his elbows. The colour of his clothes shifts to something in between yellow and white. His body is covered in an aura of light and his currently petrified arm temporarily reverts to normal.

Celestial Slash: An improved version of his Impulse Wave. The wave is improved and boosted transforming it into a holy blade.

Holy Cross: A double version of the Celestial Slash launched from both blades at once. Use of this leaves the user open to attacks but if it hits, the damage is huge, generally preventing a quick retaliation.

Weapon: Twin Swords Short

He was transported to the world of Final Fantasy IX through unknown means. Currently shares his head with an unknown being referred to as Alex, who seems to be hiding things from Seph.

Name: Alex

Gender: Male (?)

Age: Unknown

Appearance: He has adopted Seph's trance as his appearance, but this is only within the world inside Seph's mind as he can only appear here.

Description: To Zidane, Alex appears as a more serious, better abled Sepheris. He seems calm and collected, thinking through his attacks instead of blindly rushing in, though this may be more of an effect of the power of Seph's trance more than anything. To Seph, Alex is the one that helps him along the way, letting him know about his powe-... okay, no. To Seph, Alex is an annoying, sarcastic voice that only appears when it suits him seemingly only to criticise him or dig him into trouble and leave again so Seph has to deal with the clean up.

Pokémon: Soul Silver Adventures

Name: Seph

Gender: Male

Age:12

Appearance: Dark, styled hair, denim jeans, custom belt, white trainers, white shirt and a red jacket.

Description: Generally new to the whole pokémon training thing, Seph is still excited over his first pokémon, Hino. Over time, he's hoping to expand his basic knowledge of the pokémon world as a whole while he travels helping others in his quest to gain the 8 badges of Johto, all with the plan to face off against the Elite Four and the League Champion.

Current Team;

1) Hinoarashi, Hino for short (Cyndaquil)

2) N/A

3) N/A

4) N/A

5) N/A

PC Boxes;

None

NB You can use my characters if you wish, but please ask permission first. I've seen other people mention this, but I really don't know why anyone would want to use my character, but there you go, the option is there.
