Season 1 ending AU. In the final battle against the Demogorgon, Mike saves El and he is taken to the Upside Down instead. Despite the terrifying things she may face, El has to get him back.

As he waited for her to get back from the lab Mike felt like c complete emotional wreck. How could he survive losing her again after only having her back for half an hour? He didn't think he could. Mileven set in after Eleven closes the gate.
