Modern AU - As a twelve year old girl, Sansa Stark viewed Joffrey's bodyguard as scary and intimidating, but as she grows older, she finds her opinions of him are no longer the same. Likewise, Sandor Clegane finds himself unable to ignore the woman she is turning into, but how will he handle his own evolving feelings for the beautiful redhead?

Sansa escapes with Sandor during the Battle of Blackwater, little guessing that it will change both their fates forever. Far away lands and a journey of self-discovery for both await them.

Written for girloficenfire. After hearing of Sansa's escape from Littlefinger, Sandor travels north of the Wall for a new life and the promise of a new beginning with her.
