I joined the bandwagon a lot later than most. I saw Twilight on Showtime in January 2010. It was good, but I was busy with work and kids and didn't run out to get the books right away (ducks and hides - WHAT?). I finally read the first book in April '10 and couldn't put the series down. I think I read them about a dozen times. I lost count. I wanted more.

I started lurking on the forums at Lexicon and even Twilight MOMs a little but didn't post anything.

I never heard of fan fiction until I read an article regarding the Comic Con 2010 author panel. I looked up some of the featured authors' stories but was very unfamiliar with this website and how to find what to read next. I didn't even know what I would like or what any of the terminology meant. I went back to Lexicon and found the referral pages and there were HUNDREDS of referrals so I still felt overwhelmed and lost. I got through most of the Twilighted Top 10 favorites & most read stories. I have to acknowledge that Hunter Huntings' author page had the best recommendation of all - to read the "favorites" of the authors that you already like. Now my "to be read" list is probably hundreds of stories long. I tend to like AH but sometimes I love some good Vamp fic. I am an Edward & Bella girl. I am a little bit Wussperv but I'll take a chance on something different if people are raving about it.

The talented Perry Maxwell has graciously allowed me to read her gut wrenching story Unrequited before the rest of the world as part of her team. I offer my two cents - but it's really more like a quarter. Sometimes I ask for change. That's a really bad pun... which is why I don't write. That and some of you would want to shoot me because I use ellipsis' like some people use orgasms in fanfic - too much. And I admit that I had to look up want an ellipsis was when I saw someone complaining about them on twitter.

Anyway, check out Perry's story and leave her some love. She's wonderful.
