Tris/Four. Tris chose Abnegation instead of Dauntless at her choosing ceremony. 3 months later, Abnegation is attacked by Dauntless soldiers under simulation. Tris finds herself being rescued by a Dauntless soldier by the name of Four. In the midst of war, he introduces her to what could have been if she chose Dauntless, and she finds herself falling for him.

"What I saw was the truth...Not everyone may believe in what I saw or what I said but...I saw him and he's real...He's the reason that made me kept on believing in such childish things for so many years. He's out there somewhere and I'm going to find him."

In the weeks following the fight with Pitch, Jack finds himself plagued with nightmares of his own death. It is too much for him to handle, and threatens to push him over the edge.
